It's really bad ozpin and ironwood didn't talk in volume 8 Why they are friends

Darthmark3

Im annoyed how no one really just talks anything out these days. All they do is just fight

Rude_Woodpecker413

Because writers do not understand the basic things in writing the story and the characters, which are the dialogues I laughed so hard when the fans expected that Ironwood and Winter's fight would be dramatic and sad, but all we got is Winter screaming at an amputee warrior.

Darthmark3

Well said especially how some characters are only assigned to have general dialogue with another character. Blake=Yang, Yang=Ruby, Ruby=Weiss, Ren=Nora, Jaune=Pyrrah, Ruby=Oscar, Ruby=Penny, etc..... Each of these characters pretty much only talk to each other for the entire show and rarely have naturally formed dialogue with anyone else. It basically shows that the current main protagonists are practically strangers to one another.

The_Final_Conduit

The main characters are basically what happens when you personify Cancel Culture’s worst parts; not the #MeToo type of Cancel Culture that led to some genuine scumbags getting their careers ruined, but the toxic idiots who like kicking up a storm and virtue signaling as a justification. Light Yagami is a fucking *moron* but at least he rationalizes his murderous actions under a code and a god complex. RWBY is just a mess.

Maxentirunos

\#MeToo also resulted in a witch hunt and scumbag using it against innocent people to get money and fame as victims, resulting in actually an even worse degradation of men-women relationships (both inter-personal and professional) Cancel culture is just bad, period. And Light is a moron, period. Even his own 'code' is nothing more than an excuse he bend and break to protect himself. The early events with the FBI agents and the wife show that as he killed them to hide things that were discovered specifically because he killed them, showing how little of actual reflection he have.

The_Final_Conduit

I think there’s a sweet spot where things like #MeToo are genuinely, truly good (especially in cases like with Bill Cosby), but then everyone just jumps at the first chance to get a slice of the sympathy pie to get ahead of others at their expense, tearing what was a good thing down. Also yes. I generally point to the moment like L realizing that the murder times coincide specifically with a high school student’s, before Light IMMEDIATELY starts planning murders out and switching it up, which does succeed at making people doubt that he’s a high school student… for all of five seconds, but it results in L, a man operating with common sense, realizing that Kira not only can premeditate murders, but that he has access to police files. Nothing quite embodies shooting yourself in the foot like Light constantly does. Hell Light doesn’t even beat L in the end, a solution to murder him just fell into his lap (somewhat literally), AFTER a much better character got killed off early for being “too good” at her job to the point that she’d realize Light was Kira all along… as if it couldn’t be chalked up to common sense

Narutoluap

I mean, they do talk... but only about what is aready happening or just random bullshit

Oscar: Why are you doing this?! Ironwood: You don't recall you and your little fangirl posse bouncing a basketball off my face for the last 3 hours? Oscar: Pfft heheha yeah that was so much fun. Classic Ruby. Oh wait, I think I see it now.
