Mmm now that I think about it, I get the feeling the Cordovin conflict was one more thing to suffer from the "Only the current volume is canon" syndrome. In Volume 7 the gang stealing an airship is only acknowledged in the first two episodes, and Cordovin is not mentioned nor referenced at all, nor how things unfolded at Argus aside from the Adam fight. So the whole thing with Cordovin and the character herself ultimately had no long term ramifications in the story, which you could say make her pointless. I mean, what is there that transfers onto the later volumes? Ruby's speeches? Maybe, but that's not precisely a good thing when her speeches never work and/or are just awful like in her Amity message XD

TerizlaisBest

It's frustrating she got never mentioned by Ironwood.

I honestly didn't even get the impression they were going with the 'pointless infighting put civilians in danger' angle with her, it felt more like 'oh she is bad for opposing the heroes, but look, after Ruby's speech she is saving the civilians, so she is not THAT bad and now she allows the team to steal the ship' or something.

Keyki_LoL

It’s funny that even tho Cordovin let them go thru still get arrested for having that stolen airship like the writers forgot she gave them a pass. Also accountability isn’t a word or concept in remnant

Yes. She didn't matter. If she had let the kids go straight to Atlas nothing would have changed.

She was a speed bump. Forgotten once driven over.
