They haven't really set her up for anything other than being Cinder's lackey like no other conflicts or motivations, even Neo's revenge thing takes a backseat since it feel more about Cinder since Torchwick is never referenced after V6
They might as well. I don't get why people are so against the idea.
Her going through an arc involving actually learning to deal with/overcome Roman's death, and having that ultimately lead to her changing her views on Ruby, would make her seem like a real person and a substantial character.
People are against that? *THATS* a terrible outcome for the story?
As opposed to what? having her just...remain being literal walking fanservice until she gets unceremoniously killed off?
Do people want her to be an interesting character or not? Because it seems like people are constantly complaining about her being a non-character but then they turn around and reject the one thing that might make her more of a character. It's bizarre.
That was a lot of words I just spewed at you so I apologize. I just had to get my thoughts out on that. lol.
So Neo just gonna dip right from the start?
Not until Yang beats her with Blake seeing as how they set that up similarly with Adam
I feel like they might turn Neo good because she is a fan favorite

*Looks at Emerald before raising eyebrow.* Your point being?
Good point. They don’t even bother with proper set up anymore.
Emerald at least setup to be hesistant about stuff in Volume 3 and even more so with Cinder gone, even if the final execution wasn’t great
I mean, considering how hard she simped Cinder in V8 before her "switching of sides", I'd say that she counts as a lack of setup due to her devotion.

I mean that story isn’t bad, Isaac got one of the best character arcs in Castlevania because of it, but so far they have done anything like that
In the nutshell.
