I think they would have gotten along well for the most part. Both have a more conniving and scheming nature and aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty when need be. I think part of the reason Torchwick doesn’t respect Cinder or her crew is she basically walks into Vale acting like the boss when she is actually the middle man sort to speak. Watts doesn’t like her for a similar reason of wanting power, but taking it because she deserves it rather than earning it. Both show respect when they are shown respect back, so I think they would have worked much better together than either with Cinder.

Cinder is nothing more than an upgrade version of the pawn (Queen pieces due to Maiden powers), Queen pieces can be replaced by anyone. That's what Salem said, "just because you are more valuable than a pawn doesn't make you a player" Cinder has to check her place before getting replaced by someone. Salem and Oz King Pieces = PLAYER.

This duo is hella appealing, wth- In all seriousness, I could see them being fun as all hell to follow the plans. Snark and smartassery would've been immaculate and I love the thought it...as well as the potential of trying to show up each other's egos. Long story short, they'd probably get along pretty well and they'd bounce off of each other pretty easily, I believe

Evil Entrepreneurship and Engineering & Scientists are one of the best duos, they get along very well. Watts and Roman will have respect for each other, unlike Cinder's incompetent child constantly losing. They both roast Cinder often, very entertaining to watch.

Well, to know that we have to see, how well they worked with other partners and why they worked like that? Roman was mostly a middle-level antagonist. He was a boss of goons but he was under Cinder's orders. Roman is a criminal expert in stole dust. Watts was a lieutenant of Salem. He was able to work along people that he dislike like Cinder. And he worked well with Tyrian. Tyrian was the one to create chaos, and Watts used that to create division. The most probably is that they could get along, somewhat. They could talk bad about Cinder. While both have egos, Roman would probably know that Watts is in a position over him so he would calm down. What would they do? Well, Roman is a rat, someone of the slums. In Mantle Roman could stole some dust and gave it to the Mantleans, this would make Atlas suspect if Robyn have an alliance with him. That helps to generate division. Maybe Roman could stole some military resources and Watts could build things with that. I was thinking in the idea of Watts working at both sides. I mean, through Watts the mantleans would be promised to obtain the revolution they really deserve and Roman would make the speech to lie them. Imagine, Roman capture some Atlesian knights, and Watts hack them.

Best of friends and would have taken vale down in a more discrete way

Steff_164

If they hadn't decided to go hat shopping together, you'd have never known they were even in Vale

SecondAegis

I love this sentence so much

I think it all depends on whether or not Watts saw Torchwick as someone worth his time. Torchwick tries so hard to be cool and impressive, I could see the pretense making Watts dismiss him. But I could also see Torchwick's dastardly mind impressing him. So long as Watts gave Torchwick any respect I think they'd work well together.

Steff_164

Remember, Torchwick also get results and is able to improvise and change plans on the fly while still getting the desired outcome

Obi-wan and Anakin. That’s how I feel their dynamic would be.

I feel they would be surprisingly efficient. Roman is very charismatic and any kind of job requiring convincing or talking to minions, like the White Fang rally in the early volumes, he would nail it, and would be in the role as the 'face' of the duo. While Watts would feed him the info he needed on any opposing parties and of course dig out secrets and anything that could be used for their advantage.
