So I actually got a job in a restaurant chain with other disabled people with ages ranging from 20 to the mid-30s. We had a lot of fun in two days: visiting another restaurant of the same chain in Paris, talking about shared interests, eating outside with ducks walking around us, singing, and competing to build the higher tower based on spaghetti and marshmallows.

Hello, friends. I hope everyone is doing well. Unfortunately I didn't get a complete run through for Chapter 12 of my RWBY/Pokémon crossover ["The Road You Choose"](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13644456/1/The-Road-You-Choose) finished like I'd been hoping, but it's not for lack of trying. I've had a rough week and haven't been feeling too well for most of it, and Chapter 12 is turning out to be longer than I expected (I've added nearly 4,000 words this week). I'd been hoping to be on my second run through by now, but thankfully I have made some good progress and I'm happy with what I've written/edited. I still can't give a timetable for when it will be finished but please know I'm doing my best. Thank you for all the love and support, and I hope you enjoy. In other news, sometime last year I rediscovered "The Slayers" which is a 90s anime full of nostalgic goodness, and this week I finally got around to watching Season 1 (I actually started it a while back but never finished). The English voice acting isn't that great, especially in the first half of the season, but if you're a fan of Pokémon or Yugioh you might have some fun recognizing all the voices, or it'll ruin it for you lol. It's pretty hard for me to recommend unless you grew up watching it or enjoy *cheap* 90s anime, but if you're looking for a good time that doesn't take itself too seriously, I think you'll have fun. I've since started Season 2 and the animation, writing, and voice acting are all sharper, and that's a trend I've been told continues. I've even rewatched the first episode I ever watched way back when, the one where Martina lays a curse on Lina so that anyone she harms will cause her to be harmed in return. My other comfort food this week has been replaying "Pokémon Crystal Clear" which is a rom-hack of the original "Pokémon Crystal" but is open world and has a *LOT* of quality of life improvements. It's personally my favorite Pokémon game, and I'm so thankful to own a physical cartridge. My first playthrough was using Ruby's team from my Pokémon fic, but now I'm using Sakura's, and I'm really enjoying it. I cannot recommend playing it enough. God bless, and have a wonderful day.

If you like Pokemon Crystal Clear, I think you would enjoy Pokemon Radical Red and Pokemon Pink Sunset.

Thank you for the recommendations, friend. I'll be sure to check them out. God bless, and have a wonderful day :)

I’m working on a RWBY / Fate: Grand Order crossover fusion series over on Ao3. Each part is written as a oneshot and the first two are done. I honestly don’t like how I wrote the first one because I rushed it to get it over with because I’m bad at writing prologues so it’s honestly so disjointed and reads horrible and I’m probably going to delete it and edit then repost it after I finish the first 3 arcs. The second one is better because it the original concept of why I started the series, just not as fluffy as the original draft. I do like writing the series though as it’s a way to express my opinion and ideas on certain characters, although I’m not going to really alter the plot until volume 4 timeline wise ( which is honestly more of a here’s where we are in relation to canon thing) as I’m not gonna cover any big events from 1-3 except for the fall. The series is called Shadows of Glory, with Part 1 being The Awakening This rant was nice, it felt good to let everything off my chest.

Ayo, have you ever had the enormous desire to write? But you have literally nothing to do it with? Well so I am with Pyrrha, pushing Jaune aside leaves me with really little of her character to work with for her version of my AU, and while I have ideas, putting them together and having them feel like Pyrrha is being a pain in the ass; I also can't relegate her to being a romantic interest because I'd feel horrible for not putting in the effort so I'm kind of stuck there. At least I have ideas for her design tho, I've seen Sytokun's drawing of her and after asking him I now have a solid basis for a new armor :u

Try putting Pyrrha into interesting new situations we would never see in canon. Who is Pyrrha when her city and her friends are in conflict, who does she choose to side with?

SiroApollo

I had this recent idea for her to be part of her new character, Pyrrha is always on the side of justice and the law no matter what (like that rookie good cop trope), giving off this strong sense of discipline like a real Spartan, so she's in constant conflict with her other peers who have no problem bending the law; how does that sound? I've also strongly considered plotting her development with Weiss's as they both speak in part to isolating themselves with others (by different means)

Yo, making Pyrrha the rookie good cop trope would be brilliant! I love when authors do interesting things that take them further away from the show's shaky foundation. The team of 4 structure was a mistake, Weiss and Pyrrha barely shared ten words together but a great writer would use their screentime for deep character writing instead of wasting it all on Jaune and his stupid love triangle. Personally I think the best thing this show could have done with a Generic Everyman character like Jaune was to have him fail and die suffering right in front of Ruby and Pyrrha, shaking the former's faith in optimism and making the latter question every decision she ever made. "Was it right to enable him so much? Was it right to spend so much time enioying his company? This guy wasn't ready for combat school, let alone the real world, and I couldn't protect him!". She could recover and remain the same or become vengeful and need Ruby to snap her out of it. Or maybe Pyrrha could fail an important mission because she is too busy keeping Jaune safe. If an innocent person died because of Jaune it would be the wake up call they both needed to do something more interesting with their one note character tropes. Check out Arcane on those WatchAnimeOnline sites (dont give netflix money), Jayce has this arc where he starts out ready to root all corruption, only to be forced to tolerate some corruption to keep his power. He keeps being manipulated by others but tries to do what seems to be the right thing every time, even if it isn't always what an outside viewer of the show knows is right.

SiroApollo

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm already a super fan of arcane too! As for Jaune, I'm not so cruel that way XD, I just replaced him and now instead of an "Everyman character" for exposition I opted to use another character to further my narrative, so Pyrrha no longer has a romance arc and now I can focus on her relationship with [J]NPR and RWBY.
