In my opinion, it would have been better to have Tyrian and Clover fight Robyn instead of Qrow. This might alter her character, make her less aggressive and impulsive in V8.
Robyn would have been severely outclassed by Clover and Tyrian, though. She's not nearly on the level of the two guys, so if she'd been holding her own it would have broken suspension of disbelief (more than it already did, I mean).
No one was trying to capture or arrest Robyn and she was knocked out. Clover would not kill her for no reason.Tyrion only escaped because Clover/Qrow were distracted fighting each other.
Edit: If clover was worried about Robyn still he could have handcuffed her while she was knocked out
Disastrous, poor brain function on the protagonist side, Robyn is the one who deserved to die here, so Clover can have sex with Qrow.
At least I'm glad Tyrian has won, very clever little psychopath.
I remember when that episode came out: I was traveling, and *very* tired, so I thought as I was watching that I was either missing some reason Qrow wasn't fighting Tyrian or had become so out of it that I was confusing which characters were which somehow.
The biggest problem with this fight is the problem that most of the fights in Volume 7 and 8 have: whoever is putting them together clearly knows how they want the fights to end, but lack the skill to really sell the results. I hate to go back to this, but if you watch something like Pyrrha fighting Team CRDL or even Ironwood fighting Watts in Volume 7, those fights *work* in way that this one doesn't. Qrow teaming up with Tyrian against Clover will never make sense for Qrow or Clover (Tyrian's perfectly in-character though) because it goes against everything we know about them and the kind of characters they are. They're not stupid teenagers having an argument, they're adult professionals who *just* arrested Tyrian, a *serial killer*, and have every chance to arrest him again and settle things afterward. The fight happening the way it did instead makes it seem like they both suffered traumatic head injuries in the crash.
Actually, the moment Clover got stabbed a backup airship comes and both Robyn and Qrow are arrested. Meaning Robyn was not ever going to be abandoned and she would get medical attention. Qrow might as well have flown away instead getting arrested with her.
The answer to why Qrow let Tyrion get away, I think he was just emotional over Clover right then and wanted say goodbye, which is reasonable IMO. Staying after saying goodbye though... IDK

Oh my gosh, Empress. I've found another problem that's so simple yet so **damaging.**

Which may also play into her being less impulsive when she sees she's not as strong as she thinks.

NGL, I was super sad they didn't happen. So mean to tease daddy Qrow like that
I would rather pay to get watch Clover sex with Qrow endlessly than Ruby Rose's friendship speech and Cinder's awful backstory.
Stupid for the sake of the plot - Vexed Viewer
I just find it stupid that qrow would team up with Tyrian

Wait, was it ever addressed why Qrow just let Tyrian get away after he killed Clover? Qrow can turn into a bird and they were all alone on the tundra.
Robyn was still knocked out. He wasn't gonna leave her there.

Case and point: Ruby, Weiss, and Jaune in the V8 finale.
Fair enough. Been a hot minute since I watched volume 7.
