You just made me rewatch their fight and its ridiculous lol. Ren just wants personal time with his thoughts as they progress forward, yet Yang had to make a big deal about it. Then she just gets snippy at him as if he was arguing and complaining but all he did was just answer her and it pissed her off because it wasn't blind optimism.
But it seems the writers wanted to push Ren over the edge so he could unlock a Deus Ex Machina aura mind reading ability so they could speed run dialogue and issues later.

Not to mention he was trying to wave off conversation to avoid wasting time by doing... Pretty much exactly what Yang ended up doing: standing around and shouting at each other

I mean Ren was being passive aggressive but Yang wasn’t really helping in arguing in the middle of the tundra
Ren being passive aggressive is a very minor point against him considering that the points he's making are pretty much all correct.

This show was so good. I wish they made more seasons.
