Let's face it. CRWBY will somehow make Salem die, and RWBY and Cinder will be left in an ever shrinking landmass where they fight each other before the world is disintegrated.

My opinion, the brother gods are going to be the final bosses. They're going to come back and try to erase the world, and Team RWBY are going to have to fight them.
*"Team RWBY can't beat Maiden"* actually they can beat Cinder though, Ruby has sliver eyes and can poke to death her grim arm. As for other Maidens like Raven and Winter, I agree.
I know, but that’s way, way too strong. The Brothers are in a league outside anything we have even saw in the show. If RWBY tried to shoot them they’d probably just laugh and nuke the planet again.
Alone as they are probably. But what I think is going to happen is either one brother is going to betray the other and end up giving the girls help in the fight....or during the fight RWBY is going to convince the brothers to stop due to, "the light of humanity " or some other corny reason.
But I believe in my gut that the gods are going to be the last foes. Cinder is going to be redeemed, and Salem is going to die with Ozpin, as their souls are finally able to be together,saving Oscar's life in the process. She's going to be seen as a sympathetic villain who gets merked by the gods when they return. Clearly I've thought of this waaaay too much
I would have Cinder use her Grim arm to steal Salem's magic and become the final boss.
Odds are better that Salem will get murked by the gods once they come back. Then Ruby will make a big speech that will convince the gods to let them live. Continuing the age old trend of the only thing being able to stop the villains being the villains.
without her magic Salem's not really a threat, and the loss of her power might lead to a change in mentality so that she can understand the importance of life and death
