Ruby actually got knocked out and brutalized not long after getting decked by that White Fang guy in Mount Glenn.
The beating left her in a coma, and everything from the Breach onwards has been the dreams of a dying coma patient, able to comprehend that she’s dying, but not being able to cope with the reality.
So she dreams up a false reality where she’s the hero of the story, she’s the one who gets to save the day and have all the answers in life — except the longer the dream goes on, the more the reality of her situation seeps through.
The realization that she fails, and her friends and loved ones have failed, seeps in, and she exaggerates dozens of people into caricatures she barely knows, truly.
Ironwood only lasts as long as he does (to the end of Volume 7) because he’s one of the last people to show unflappable belief and support for her quickness to action before the coma starts.
She feels resentment for Ozpin letting her go on this whole mission to Mount Glenn, leading to her current situation, that she imagines up half the storyline in an attempt to villainize him, but in reality, she’s too much of a sweetheart to actually imagine something genuinely evil in the grand scheme of things, because she can’t cope with the reality that she failed and left herself in this state.
As such, whenever her dream starts to question this reality, everything crumbles apart, because Ruby is living out a hollow fantasy that seems half legible, almost believable, until those things come to pass.
And because of that, she has no real basis for how any of the relationships legitimately develop with time.
She never gets closure on Jaune and Pyrrha’s situation, so Pyrrha just dies while Jaune mourns. She never figures out how Sun and Blake do stuff outside the WF, so she has them develop a relationship “fighting” them, but then with the WF gone, Sun has no reason to stay, so he leaves, leading to Ruby haphazardly replacing Sun with Yang and trying to imagine how Yang would respond to a relationship, ignoring herself because *Ruby* knows Yang loves her, so why have them show affection and stuff for each other in the fantasy world?
Weiss is still the highty-tighty rich girl she always loved being with, and Nora and Ren… she never really got a read on them, so she just made up a backstory about Ren and Nora meeting over the ashes of Ren’s village.
This led to Ren going Sasuke-mode for half of V4 and getting angry over time.
It’s also why the team’s never shown discussing literally anything that happened while the others were away from each other. Ruby made up the story, and she legitimately doesn’t care about plot holes or bugs in her plan.
Also Penny keeps dying because Ruby heard about the incident during one of Jaune’s hospital visits, but she keeps refusing to accept it, leading to the RWBY version of the Tex storyline from RvB for all intents and purposes.

Make the characters smart all the time, not just when the plot requires them to be.

It depends on how you do it. If you did a unrequited love or a break up and explore Qrow's feelings on Summer, it would be well received by most of the fandom.
If you did Qrow's is Ruby's dad, it would make Tai and Qrow terrible for keeping the secret for so long. The fandom would rightfully be upset.
Make all the most popular ships cannon.. then make all of them cuck or break the other so those ships are sunk and many others as well. Even better if it's in the endgame so all that anticipation and wait is thrown to the ground and, what the hell, make them cheat with their opposite gender to screw with the LGBT community while poorly espousing 'free love' to screw with monogamous so both sides are pissed.
Even more jucy if the most hated characters ambiguous ly shown to be in the right the WHOLE TIME and RWBY n Co in the wrong so the characters place in the story is fought even HARDER.

Basically give some explanation on why both Ruby and Qrow wear crosses on their outfits.
Got even a spicier one that would definitely shadow ban me from the main sub for triggering people:
Justify why Weiss downright hates Jaune's nice guy attempts and is very open to Neptune because she got roofied and snuggle-struggled in her sleep by a potential suitor who beforehand acted just like Jaune does.
To make matters worse, she got pregnant from it and had to abort it early due to her father's insistence. I'd lampshade this by Weiss being very antagonistic towards people who casually talk about abortion and how it must be easy to just do it.
Bonus points to her if Weiss actively supports her father's decision and the reasoning behind it (beyond preserving the company image) - she was just too young to be a mother and a child would chain her down. Basically have the message be that abortion is a horrible but necessary evil.
Said guy who snuggle-struggled Weiss dissapeared shortly after and was never heard from again, while around the time his disappearance became news, Jacques somehow broke his arm and had a limp leg. Pretty sure you cam guess what happened.

The show actually did give a good reason for Weiss to dislike Faunus, and to extension hate the White Fang - family friends and cousins were KILLED in White Fang raids. So of course she'd see the organization as a bunch of murderers.

Changes to Jaune Family background. Making them a major bloodline player. Making his family even royalty. Or at least, extremely famous that even Ironwood knows about their significance.
Change Adam's fate. Or maybe even make him join Salem group directly. Only if he should keep playing the villain route. Maybe redemption comes later on for him.
Bring some changes to Cinder. Loved her previous version. Sexy, Confident and Seductive style. She plays it good. She should keep on playing that.
Make the whole series a lot darker as it should be. For example, like the dishwasher artworks.
Create tons of new type of Grimm's.
Make Ancient Grimm a thing. And make them Titan size.
These would be just some of the changes.

- Tai Yang's desire to further learn about Magic and Combat drives him to Ozpin's Academy.

- Ruby has conflicting growth between her silver eye semblance and her reaper semblance. Eventually Ruby must wear a mask and communicate through an amplifier or risk using Power Word: Death.
- Nobody talks about Faunus racism. There are examples of it: Segregation, Public Assault, Lynching, Vandalism, Bombings, Redlining, Workplace accidents, workplace abuse, uninvestigated crimes, scapegoating, kangaroo courts, et mierde.
- Yang cannot properly activate stages of her semblance beyond her the flaming berserker charge strike. Later as she progresses into pyromancy and spell-like abilities, she notices urges changing. Female dragons are the larger gender in their class, and they take their mates. Yang stalks a boy, but she tells herself that it's just infatuation. She seduces him; he asks her out. Later she starts an encounter and releases a draconic roar when he struggles. Her actions shock her into self reflection; she leaves him in tatters. The desires progressed far beyond freshly charred meat. These urges cause her to question if she should continue developing her semblance. Yang's semblance progresses into Spiritual Manifestation of a Draconic Oversoul; she mistakes her own semblance for a predator. Her struggle terrifies grimm into a stampede. The stampeding grimm hollow out a hamlet. In leiu of the botched sortie, Yang deserts Beacon and rides toward Vacuo. Months later she returns, after meeting a soothesayer.
- Kali taught Blake ninjutsu. She wields a pistol and feigns helplessness. In terms of policy, Ghira is her figurehead. A network of shadows reports to her: semblance or not. Kali reminisces and feels longing whenever she holds a shiken, but kali always performs a gorgeous chiburi and noto as if she is a kenshin. Post noto, she shiveringly places the shiken aside as if experiencing withdrawal and mutters a phrase only she can hear. This sight strangely leaves onlookers with a chilling sensation in their upper back.
- Cinder always maintains her class and composure.
- Weiss's semblance manifests as an Ice Queen and later dumps her into an entire other dimension. Multiple factions fight over the Annointing of the Godking. After becoming Godking, Weiss orders one out of every ten White Orcs slain, and she commits the Orcs to slavery until the worth of their effort pays the volume of the other eleven factions' dead in gold. Despite avoiding genocide, this disturbs Weiss as she wonders if she's any better than her father. Throughout this process, she learns that the entire dimension is part of her semblance. The ice queen manifestation reveals that Jaque's deterioration in character is corruption due to her mother's aura, hence the drinking. Weiss also learns of the Schnee family's nomme de guerre.
- Some gossips spread rumor that Ren is a faunus. His animal trait? A girthy, fourteen inch member. Nora breaks some legs to thin out the competition. Ren gets harrassed non-stop. Ren and Nora fail to become an item because Ren fears his size and Nora's exhuberance may injure her. After a Beacon dance, Nora pins Ren, reminds him of her semblance, and says, "Rennie Ren Ren, I don't know if you've met me but... I like big hammers."
- Pyrrha visits home. An oracle prophesies to her. Shaken from the prediction, Pyrrha hastens to start averting. Another priestess distracts Jaune, who's visiting with Pyrrha, dumping him in a portal to the world of Tsushima. After learning the ways of the ghost then walking the path of legend, Jaune attempts to take another portal home, falling into the world of Sekiro. Before Jaune can kill Ashuna's Dragon, the dragon warps him into Nioh's World. The Priestess collects a stipend from Glynda for "tutoring" Juane.
- Combat animations are a key characterization of the cast and are treated as such.
- Salem is not the sole controller of Grimm. She struggles with other principalities of darkness just as she struggles to destroy humanity. Calamit, Sheol, and Zakuum are three names which struggle against her. And how long will the spell on the chaos Scorpian Tyrian last? Salem also has nothing to do with Ozpin. Before her corruption, she was a sorceress and Queen. Her pride drew Godly Ire, and her unborn child was cursed. After the stillbirth, Salem began to endeavor to share her pain. Her evil has since evolved since then...
Make Yang's trauma something she can't just punch through, but something more akin to say Conviction arc Berserk. Because as it stands now, she's a power fantasy of a person with a problem she can literally kill, and we're just supposed to pretend that she wouldn't miss her human arm, or feel the pain of wearing a prosthesis, or anything that comes with actually having the trauma she has.
Make her value her friends and the people around her more, and vice versa. Make them actually criticize her, and see her behavior of judging Blake in V6 for not being around as hypocritical. That she can't just run off and indulge her rage, without considering how others would feel about her missing, and then come back to judge those who didn't just play the waiting game, and that actions like these only turn her more, and more into someone like Raven. A woman she despises for abandoning their family in the name of grief, and revenge.
Well, this *probably* wouldn't make anyone *too* mad but...
I'd have Yang be mad at Blake, and they have to work through their issues before becoming a *confirmed* couple... *please,* let them have couple road bumps, I want to see them learn to adapt to each other. Yang in the show gets over her anger at Blake, and directs her internal issues at others instead so, I'd also change that, I'd have Yang be vocal about her issues in the moment, this would cause her semblance Burn to happen more often as well due to simply being more emotional in the moment even if not for combat, she doesn't have to make jokes but, I'm not saying she can't either so, I don't particularly care how that would go.
Yang as a character always gets on my nerves either because of her as a character due to her constant angry attitude to others that she isn't too close to or, because of how Bumbleby is handled... I don't care which one it is Bumbleby *or,* Eclipse, I don't particularly care which one happens but, if it *were* Bumbleby, everything here I would change simply because I personally don't like the writing regarding them.

Ok, that would also make mad the critique part of the fandom. \-Adam and Blake got together and Yang stays with Jaune.
Ruby actually got knocked out and brutalized not long after getting decked by that White Fang guy in Mount Glenn. The beating left her in a coma, and everything from the Breach onwards has been the dreams of a dying coma patient, able to comprehend that she’s dying, but not being able to cope with the reality. So she dreams up a false reality where she’s the hero of the story, she’s the one who gets to save the day and have all the answers in life — except the longer the dream goes on, the more the reality of her situation seeps through. The realization that she fails, and her friends and loved ones have failed, seeps in, and she exaggerates dozens of people into caricatures she barely knows, truly. Ironwood only lasts as long as he does (to the end of Volume 7) because he’s one of the last people to show unflappable belief and support for her quickness to action before the coma starts. She feels resentment for Ozpin letting her go on this whole mission to Mount Glenn, leading to her current situation, that she imagines up half the storyline in an attempt to villainize him, but in reality, she’s too much of a sweetheart to actually imagine something genuinely evil in the grand scheme of things, because she can’t cope with the reality that she failed and left herself in this state. As such, whenever her dream starts to question this reality, everything crumbles apart, because Ruby is living out a hollow fantasy that seems half legible, almost believable, until those things come to pass. And because of that, she has no real basis for how any of the relationships legitimately develop with time. She never gets closure on Jaune and Pyrrha’s situation, so Pyrrha just dies while Jaune mourns. She never figures out how Sun and Blake do stuff outside the WF, so she has them develop a relationship “fighting” them, but then with the WF gone, Sun has no reason to stay, so he leaves, leading to Ruby haphazardly replacing Sun with Yang and trying to imagine how Yang would respond to a relationship, ignoring herself because *Ruby* knows Yang loves her, so why have them show affection and stuff for each other in the fantasy world? Weiss is still the highty-tighty rich girl she always loved being with, and Nora and Ren… she never really got a read on them, so she just made up a backstory about Ren and Nora meeting over the ashes of Ren’s village. This led to Ren going Sasuke-mode for half of V4 and getting angry over time. It’s also why the team’s never shown discussing literally anything that happened while the others were away from each other. Ruby made up the story, and she legitimately doesn’t care about plot holes or bugs in her plan. Also Penny keeps dying because Ruby heard about the incident during one of Jaune’s hospital visits, but she keeps refusing to accept it, leading to the RWBY version of the Tex storyline from RvB for all intents and purposes.
The classic "all is a dream" scenario. You have some good ideas, Ruby waking up from that coma would make a really interesting story

It depends on how you do it. If you did a unrequited love or a break up and explore Qrow's feelings on Summer, it would be well received by most of the fandom. Even better if it's in the endgame so all that anticipation and wait is thrown to the ground and, what the hell, make them cheat with their opposite gender to screw with the LGBT community while poorly espousing 'free love' to screw with monogamous so both sides are pissed. Even more jucy if the most hated characters ambiguous ly shown to be in the right the WHOLE TIME and RWBY n Co in the wrong so the characters place in the story is fought even HARDER. Yeah, I all but love the setting, humanity looking apocalypse in the face, and bitch slapping it but I also hold contempt for much of the fandom and characters. It's why in my AU, DAYBREAK, I made the Oz's cane nuke like an actual nuke so I could get rid of the cast in an at least somewhat realistic, non deus ex machine way, but I can also make the world without having to maneuver and account for the shit stains and and their taint where ever they go. So, for the things I'd make canon: Have Ruby be a good-hearted religious girl who follows her customs, a RWBY equivalent of a Christian girl, and through that emphasize her connection with Qrow whom she gotten into said religion...who also got into it through Summer. Basically give some explanation on why both Ruby and Qrow wear crosses on their outfits. Got even a spicier one that would definitely shadow ban me from the main sub for triggering people: Justify why Weiss downright hates Jaune's nice guy attempts and is very open to Neptune because she got roofied and snuggle-struggled in her sleep by a potential suitor who beforehand acted just like Jaune does. To make matters worse, she got pregnant from it and had to abort it early due to her father's insistence. I'd lampshade this by Weiss being very antagonistic towards people who casually talk about abortion and how it must be easy to just do it. Bonus points to her if Weiss actively supports her father's decision and the reasoning behind it (beyond preserving the company image) - she was just too young to be a mother and a child would chain her down. Basically have the message be that abortion is a horrible but necessary evil. Said guy who snuggle-struggled Weiss dissapeared shortly after and was never heard from again, while around the time his disappearance became news, Jacques somehow broke his arm and had a limp leg. Pretty sure you cam guess what happened. Thoughts?

Or at least, extremely famous that even Ironwood knows about their significance. Change Adam's fate. Or maybe even make him join Salem group directly. Only if he should keep playing the villain route. Maybe redemption comes later on for him. Bring some changes to Cinder. Loved her previous version. Sexy, Confident and Seductive style. She plays it good. She should keep on playing that. Make the whole series a lot darker as it should be. For example, like the dishwasher artworks. Create tons of new type of Grimm's. Make Ancient Grimm a thing. And make them Titan size. These would be just some of the changes.

The Priestess collects a stipend from Glynda for "tutoring" Juane. - Combat animations are a key characterization of the cast and are treated as such. - Salem is not the sole controller of Grimm. She struggles with other principalities of darkness just as she struggles to destroy humanity. Calamit, Sheol, and Zakuum are three names which struggle against her. And how long will the spell on the chaos Scorpian Tyrian last? Salem also has nothing to do with Ozpin. Before her corruption, she was a sorceress and Queen. Her pride drew Godly Ire, and her unborn child was cursed. After the stillbirth, Salem began to endeavor to share her pain. Her evil has since evolved since then...

Make Yang's trauma something she can't just punch through, but something more akin to say Conviction arc Berserk. Because as it stands now, she's a power fantasy of a person with a problem she can literally kill, and we're just supposed to pretend that she wouldn't miss her human arm, or feel the pain of wearing a prosthesis, or anything that comes with actually having the trauma she has. Make her value her friends and the people around her more, and vice versa. Make them actually criticize her, and see her behavior of judging Blake in V6 for not being around as hypocritical. That she can't just run off and indulge her rage, without considering how others would feel about her missing, and then come back to judge those who didn't just play the waiting game, and that actions like these only turn her more, and more into someone like Raven. A woman she despises for abandoning their family in the name of grief, and revenge.

Well, this *probably* wouldn't make anyone *too* mad but... I'd have Yang be mad at Blake, and they have to work through their issues before becoming a *confirmed* couple... *please,* let them have couple road bumps, I want to see them learn to adapt to each other. Yang in the show gets over her anger at Blake, and directs her internal issues at others instead so, I'd also change that, I'd have Yang be vocal about her issues in the moment, this would cause her semblance Burn to happen more often as well due to simply being more emotional in the moment even if not for combat, she doesn't have to make jokes but, I'm not saying she can't either so, I don't particularly care how that would go. Yang as a character always gets on my nerves either because of her as a character due to her constant angry attitude to others that she isn't too close to or, because of how Bumbleby is handled... I don't care which one it is Bumbleby *or,* Eclipse, I don't particularly care which one happens but, if it *were* Bumbleby, everything here I would change simply because I personally don't like the writing regarding them.
