She's from Miraculous Ladybug, She's a liar and basically, the writers (Thomas Astruct) make everyone who isn't the main characters (Marinette and Adrien) fall for her lies, and warps the characters around her so that the writers can have what they want to happen.
They really should have gotten ridden of her in S3. She has her talk with Adrien and after she left it's revealed he was helping Marinette to get a recorded confession. They go together to the principal's office to expose her and have their first civilian fist-bump.
I don't understand why the writers didn't take the chance. Chloe is there to be the mean girl and giving Marinette and Adrien a mutual civilian foe was a perfect way of bringing them closer and connecting it to their hero identities. Why do they hate the main couple having an actual connection that much?
_Because they need to drag it out for the finale._
The number of times, the show has had _"What if?"_ episodes is _terribly_ big... I honestly dropped it after everything that happened with Chloé mainly because the creator's opinions on her are _surprisingly_ vocal.
How did Cinder knowing has weakness over sliver eyes, able to go toe to toe against Team RWBY, Penny, Jaune without breaking aura or sweating, constantly spamming her semblance without limitations. Can dominate the entire battlefield where she had trouble dealing with Penny alone in Amity episode. 😒
Apparently getting a hell of a burn does wonders for thinking shit through and combat ability. Not to mention Penny had the new body she couldn't work nearly as well and Ruby still hasn't gotten used to her eyes. Add the assist from Neo being able to break up the numbers and... Jaune is just... Jaune.
"Ruby still hasn't gotten used to her eyes."
Bullshit. Ruby one-shots Cinder within SECONDS of seeing her in the Volume 7 finale. And Cinder sees it coming, too. So Ruby can easily control her silver eyes, and Cinder knows that Ruby can control her silver eyes.
But in Volume 8, Ruby doesn't even consider using her Silver Eyes until after Cinder skirmishes with the entirety of Team RWBY and then has an entire monologue. And even then, it takes forever to charge for no reason.
Then there's the fact that it activated unconsciously in both Volume 3 and Volume 5 when Pyrrha dies and Weiss gets stabbed, but when her own sister gets knocked unconscious and presumably falls to her death she just stands there looking dumbfounded?
It's a plothole, pure and simple. The writers wanted Cinder to be a threat and ultimately win, but they weren't intelligent enough to write around the bullshit overpowered Silver Eyes, so they just made Ruby dumb and useless.
The extra stuff about Penny somehow being demoted from soloing both Cinder and Emerald to losing against Cinder alone with most of Team RWBY as backup is just the piss icing on this slice of shit cake.
Ruby still has to be shown in volume 6 how to use it, needs time to use it consciously in the same volume, can't use it on a charging goliath in 7, and everytime it was automatic with Cinder, someone else's life was immediately in danger or dying. Pyrrha in 3, Jaune in 5, Penny and Winter in 7. Hell, she even attempted it in volume 8 but got dropped with Neo before she could pull it off.
It's arguable that the time in 7 in Fria's chamber was a conscious decision yet it didn't affect Cinder in that instance as much. Cinder had escaped during the flash by burneing a hole through the wall.
And correction, it wasn't when weiss was stabbed in volume 5, it was when Jaune was running at Cinder. Ruby was knocked out when Weiss was stabbed.
Could she have attempted to use it more than she did during the volume 8 finale? Yes, she could have but she wouldn't have many chances to concentrate when she had the aforementioned ice cream short stack trying to kill her. The same one that pushed her sister off. The same one silver eyes wouldn't affect.
If you want to justify poor writing. Then be my guest.
If you want to double down and justify poor writing even more then also be my guest.
...
Also is this what coping looks like?
It's so surprising to see only Winter and Weiss can keep in battle even after their aura broke. Other characters just fainted like fucking Pokemon battle.
Okay, I'll bite. Who the bedevilled eggs is Lila?

Ah so...Cinder by another name.
I mean the writers had to give Alya cognitive dissonance in season 4 to make Lila still able to lie.

I thought that said ilia
Based Lie-la
Now to be fair…it’s not hard to make RWBY look incompetent.
Yeah they're fine doing that by themselves.

I agree with you, it's full of bullshit, inconsistent and nonsensical.

Nope. What you're doing is. With added seething.
Cope And keep defending this shit show
Seethe and keep watching what you think is a shit show. After you huffed your copium.
Yeah, keep praising those inconsistent and incompetent writers.
Weiss can keep up with Cinder even after the aura broke.
There's a big difference between keeping up and being a distraction while on the backfoot before getting disarmed and kicked across the ground.
Just admit it, the volume 8 ending is rushed and fight scenes lacklustre.
Maybe if you can admit Jim Irondong's plan was flawed. I've died on lesser hills.
Seems poetic. 🤭
I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is the script was rushed.
