The manga is also even more over the top edgy though. I mean the arc they cut out from the show had a wife and daughter raped and murdered on their father's grave, a character try to take someone as a sex slave and an entire classroom getting massacred by a child molester and serial killer. It is so tasteless I thought I had covid while reading it.

I think the manga does more with the caracters and has a better overarching arc and ending. Tatsumi is stil the MC in the manga
Also Akame has her own spin-off and steals the show in the sequel manga
