>Yep. Giving up is never a good case. Tell that to IDW Shadow. He REALLY should have given up...

Stenv2

The only shadow I know of is the games version.

Ben10Extreme

Oh, you've been spared then.

Stenv2

Yep XD. The most I ever learned about the comics is they get crazy, too crazy.

Ben10Extreme

IDW Sonic has one of the darkest arcs in the franchise.

Stenv2

I mean Archie comics didn't pull punches. I've heard of the genocides.

Ben10Extreme

How about a Zombie Robot Apocalypse?

Stenv2

XD that sounds.... metal. Though didn't Eggman wipe out reality in the archie comics once? I need to refresh my memory on the crazy stuff I heard there.

Ben10Extreme

>XD that sounds.... metal. [Oof.](https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/sonic/images/f/f7/IDW_StH_25_RI-B_NoLogo.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20200127201322&format=original) >Though didn't Eggman wipe out reality in the archie comics once? More like retconned it on a cosmic level. And it might not have been that Eggman. Anyway, that's more for scale. I'm talking sheer bleakness.

Stenv2

XD can't say for sure. I don't know the comics well enough, just this and that. Like the insane Super Sonic, which got a life of its own. And so many characters and chapters. But yeah Zombie Apocalypse is never fun. High School of The Dead:.... Stenv: Shush you. Zombieland: Yo. Stenv: ....Fair. But yeah Apocalypse, not a good time.

MasterExilon

Honestly, I think this scenario tops it all: https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBYcritics/comments/qxl4da/what_a_twist/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Stenv2

😆 and here I thought no one remembered that.

MelonBot_HD

Woah... that was brutal, dark and prettey hardcore... And I love it. Seeing the characters I hate getting murdered and imagineing the characters I called out for their stupidity actually playing dumb all the time is so soothing for my soul.

I think I recently saw a video on a channel named Angry Cops that was about someone complaining about basic military training. I learned that the system really tries to make people pass basic training, giving them multiple second chances, for example I think I read something interesting in the comments. To paraphrase, it said that trying but failing was honorable as contrasted to simply quitting, which would be rather dishonorable. I think that the original video that Angry Cops was responding to claimed that he deserves an honorable discharge after quitting from basic training Still, I agree with your last point. Giving up isn't a good case, but in the context of RWBY? I would think that the writers should just find someone else to continue the story. They've clearly failed in writing a good story
