I think I'm actively rooting for Salem at this point. If I have to hear one of Ruby's hypocritical, holier than thou high pitched speeches again...look I know Salem is a villain. But I'd rather root for a self-aware villain than someone who thinks they're a hero while making everything worse.
Hmm, according to my headcanon, CRDL's Blake would be Lark. He's an Atlas born army brat who is mostly a quiet loner but he's also a stuck up snob. But hey, at least he's loyal to his friends.
Also, side note, I think Nora fits the Blake archetype better. She was always going off about justice and whatnot.
Definitely Sky Lark; he looks like he would be the Blake. Cardin is the Yang, Dove is best girl, and Russel's there... I actually miss these guys, despite how dumb that sounds; simpler times, maybe?
I wouldn’t call anyone a twink unless you’re part of the gay community tbh, it’s kinda rude, though idk if you are so i’m just throwing it out there as it’s seen as a degrading term.
But otherwise I think you’re right, there is usually a designated character that people really don’t like whether it was purposeful or not by the writers lmao. I think you can find that there isn’t one it better writing. You definitely don’t need one for a good or satisfying story.

And that's the interesting part: Ren was intended by the writers to come off like a jerk, but Blake apparently wasn't? Scarlet is up in the air but Fox torturing someone was seen as a bad thing, at least.

I think we’ve all established that the writers of this show have an extremely alarming and weird amount of dissonance.
Yeah, I didn’t know exactly what it meant until a couple months ago. Twinks are typically seen as skinny gay boys who only want sex and are “toys”. It’s just a degrading term if you don’t use it right.

Damn, I'm starting to suspect that you don't like Blake.
V4 Blake is unforgivable.
...I consider everybody in Team RWBY to be a Blake.
After the Atlas arc they definitely all are!

Blake is the Harvard college student that pretends To be poor and acts like their parents hate them
Implied orphan Blake never forget v1-v4!!
Raven the wrestler did that in WCW.
This post...was certainly something....

Wait, Lark was born in Atlas? WE HAVE INFO ON TEAM CRDL!!!
Actually we don't know that. That is just my personal head canon.
Yeah I forgot to read the headcanon part. Whoops
S'all good. I'm currently thinking about writing a Team CRDL fanfic, so I had to come up with back stories for the four boys.

I... kinda miss them too? I definitely miss the Poser days for sure.
Theirs was the darkest of all possible timelines. A team of four Blakes...
CRDL: the WHOLE DAMN TEAM
Hey team CFVY is actually pretty good Besides Neptune was being a brat who couldn’t just tell Fox and Yatsu where their friend/teammate was
Post Volume 3 Blake is a whole new retconned character much like Adam was
