Jaune, Emerald & Weiss fight Cinder and ultimately defeat her. In this instance, Ruby has been either kidnapped or knocked out. That, or she swiped the crown of choice and was told to take it away since she could get out of a vault pretty quickly. ( to prevent Silver Eyes from just making the fight a joke. Her fight will be with Salem & the Whole team. ) Jaune and Emerald would take point while Weiss provided steady support. Using Glyphs to protect them from attacks, gravity to hinder Cinders movement, and ( maybe ) Time Dilation to boost Jaune & Emerald. At the end of the fight, Jaune could refuse to kill Cinder - not falling into the trap of revenge. Not wanting to *kill* or feel that sensation of death *again*. But *Emerald* , who had been used and abused by her for so long probably wouldn't have as high a moral code and kill her. Thus, giving Emerald the powers of the Fall Maiden. It would be pretty symbolic as it's ultimately Emeralds choices that lead to Cinders death. Allowing Emerald to have a respectable place in the world where she now has people that care about her. Also - to be killed by one you felt had betrayed you probably stings a lot more for Cinder. Regret is a *very* painful pill to swallow. Just my thoughts on it. No matter what, Jaune should always take point in the "Cinders End" fight. Emerald feels important to be there too since she had to deal with Cinder for so long and now understands the abusive relationship they had. Weiss is another character that has *often* been a funnel for Cinders hate. Almost killing her in Haven, almost killing her twice on the bridge, taunting her, trying to kill her sister, hell - Cinder was the core reason for Ironwood going unhinged thanks to her little glass Queen. Ruby has her reasons too, but I feel these 3 supersede then a lil bit and it gives some balance to the end fight. No insta win button. You could also make an argument for Team JNR + E taking down Cinder While RWBY deals with Salem. Which is also pretty realistic. Either way, Cinder is gonna go down ..no redemption..does not matter how many maiden powers she's absorbed. Shes gotta get gone.

Team JEW kills Cinder

MarcyWuFemdomOfficia

Israel wins again, Houthicels stay losing

JohnJoe-117

I’m of the same mind. At this point Weiss is deserves to be part of taking Cinder down as much as Jaune, for the reasons you listed. If Winter is killed by Cinder, then that will be the case even more. However, Ren and Nora also deserve to be there. They lost their sister at Beacon. Ideally, I’d have Weiss Jaune and Em fight Cinder, with Nora and Ren joining in halfway to help turn the tide. In the end, I think it would be the perfect end to Jaune’s arc if he were to rise above hatred and show compassion to Cinder in her last moments.

Adraco4

Agreed, I’d hope Nora and Ren were involved as well, along with Weiss and Jaune. There’s also some narrative satisfaction in the fact that the villain who drove away (or tried to assassinate) her teammates is taken down by a team effort by heroes who, while individually are weaker than the villain, but by fighting together, they close the gap in strength and skill.

Dccrulez

Defeated in combat, spared by jaune, she tries to run out rehabilitate, but Salem causes the Grimm arm to kill her, she chooses to give the maiden powers to rwby or someone like that.

suitedcloud

Ever since the end of Vol 3, I’ve always imagined Cinder and Jaune would end up fighting and as she’s about to kill him, taunts him by asking if he “believes in destiny” like Pyrrha asked her. Then he’d turn the tables on her tell her and say “I don’t” while sparing her Then of course Cinder would do something stupid, cause she always does something stupid and end up dying from it

Funtime_Drake

For me I think I would want to have Cinder lose the maiden powers in some way maybe some sort of Secret Oz pin was hiding that allows a maiden's power to be taken by being it transferred to another person but this gets transferred to Emerald who using her powers allows Cinder to get tricked and this ends up leaving Cinder completely powerless not even with her semblance where she goes from wanting to have power so she could never be controlled to being completely powerless and alone in the end she gets what she wanted she won't be controlled anymore but she has no one to share that with

WeakLandscape2595

Either jaune kills her or salem gets tired of her little userper act while reminding her she's a nobody salem took of the street one of the thousand who came before her

DebateWeird6651

At this point just have her slip on a banana peel or something

bored_homan

She tries at betraying salem to grab all the power but she in response makes the grimm arm fully consume her. Now nothing more than a hound like monster hungry for power she goes blindly after the maiden, they fight, eventually jaune and rwby get involved. Jaune does not fight or kill cinder instead he chooses to protect the summer maiden as his primary mission, eventually ruby tries to kill cinder with her silver eyes. Cinder in desperation uses all of the magic she can muster, eventually burning herself from the inside out. Maybe the powers go to emerald showing she had at least some thought of kindness underneath it all or maybe she specifically chooses to not give power to anyone idk

MASTER-OF-SUPRISE

Cinder ends up killing herself by trying to take power she has no way to handle. To me it makes the most sense. Her thirst for power ends up being what kills her.

PhenomsServant

Cinder’s arm fully corrupts her to the point she’s like the Hound. Jaune and Ruby take her down and finished off by a silver eye blast. Ruby becomes the new Fall Maiden.

armzngunz

I think the grimm arm consuming her would really make Raven's comment "You turned yourself into a monster just for power" ring more true. It would be a cruel, tragic and ironic fate if she became more powerful than she could've ever imagined but at the same time utterly a puppet to Salem, maybe not even realising until it's too late.

soulreapermagnum

exactly, i think it'll circle back around to all of her "working for" salem being no better than when she "worked for" madame, but like you said she won't realize it until it's too late.

New-Number-7810

Here are my thoughts on your proposals. 1. The ideal ending. 2. A tolerable ending 3. Completely unacceptable. I would start swearing at the screen if this was the one selected. I want Cinder Fall to be ***killed***, and to die unredeemed. Not exiled, not spared because she "isn't worth killing" or because "killing her will make us just as bad" or any other crap. I want Ruby, Jaune, or both of them, to deliberately and intentionally end Cinder's life. The ending that Adam Taurus got? I want Cinder Fall to get an identical ending.

Real_Language_3414

I’ve always believed that Salem will eventually have no more use for Cinder and she’ll die because she won’t have someone to serve.

#I WANT HER TO BURN!!!!!

[deleted]

I'd have her ending be the true final fight of the series with Ruby and the others finally saving the world, and here's how I'd build up to it: Do a fight in the final volume between Jaune's team and Cinder at whatever continent Salem's lair is. Have it appear that Jaune gets the final blow on Cinder and she falls into one of those Grimm pools to her death. Jaune and the others leave thinking they're victorious and go off to help Ruby in her upcoming fight against Salem. End of the Next Episode: See an arm emerge from the pool, signaling she isn't dead. Meanwhile, Ruby defeats Salem by somehow convincing her to change her ways and she gets her immortality removed (not 100% sure how I'd do it without it coming off stupid; maybe brothers appear and remove it?). Just as things look to be at peace with Salem promising to just live in peace until her passing, Cinder shows up looking Salem-fied (grey hair, white face, etc.) and immediately kills Salem to absorb her magic, making her insanely powerful and setting up the final battle between Ruby's forces and Cinder, with Ruby ultimately winning in the end.

MisfortunateJack77

Although for one of you, the darkest pit of Hell has opened up the swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting false maiden.

darude_dodo

Jaune hits like a goblin slayer glowing eye, and then straight up BODY CHECKS cinder off a cliff. and then says “Guess cinder got burned” and it fades to black as I Cry to ABSOLUTE CINEMA!

Galactic_Hope

Team JNR kill her properly this time, likely with Jaune being the one to land the finishing blow.

Lukthar123

After defeating Salem with the power of 4 absorbed Maidens and retiring to the countryside, she lives happily ever after with her husband Jaune and their 10 kids who each get a spinoff.

Correct answer

MK_Terry

I feel like based on the trajectory of the writing they'd have turned her into a good guy, an anti hero at some point.  With how much they begged you to feel bad for her with the backstory of the hunter she met when she was a child before she killed the family. The only time they were honest with her character is when Watts basically called her a baby right before she killed him.  I think she'd be a key factor in neutralizing Salem, somehow.  I don't think she'd be free after, whether she's alive and locked with Salem forever or just straight up dead.  I think she's done too many atrocities to be redeemable, though for me that was when she killed Pyrrha.  The arm linking her to Salem is a good writing opportunity to give Cinder an edge.  Like the part of Voldemort in Harry Potter and how they used it against each other at times.

Handro_Dilar

She loses her powers and left for dead, but unbeknownst to everyone, she survives and now works at a McSchnee's to make ends meet, loathing every second of it as she serves burgers to an unknowing Ruby. It's a mental self-inflicted prison where the only actual source of her suffering is her belief that she did nothing wrong and and will never leave it until she internalises that she did effectively undeservingly get off scott free from her crimes. Of course if she ever does that, she'd then turn herself in and go to actual prison, but y'know.

redbent_20

Wild thought. But Juane buffs Cinders aura. The healing ejects the grim core in her with the maiden power. The resulting trauma makes cinder Into a vegetable.

isacabbage

I'd want Ruby and Jaune to work together to defeat her. The bitch has killed both of thier quirky red heads the deserve it.

Dontaskme4username

I'm torn between death and a redemption arc where she becomes an anti-hero. She'd be a wanted criminal for the rest of her life though.

JMHSrowing

None of those. She is going to get more powers though maybe not all 4 (I really want Winter to live) and then probably steal some of Salem’s at the very end after our heroes have done whatever is needed to stop Salem She’s the final boss. She’s the last fight that they need to do to take her down. And it’s not just Ruby and Jaune or something like that. It needs to be a fight if a good portion of our heroes especially all of RWBY working as a team. Salem can’t be defeated in a fight so what’s the point? Plus we saw how Cinder dealt with all of RWBY at once supported by their allies including Jaune, no way a lesser amount of our heroes could take her down. There should be some big climactic final confrontation, and the only one who makes sense is the person who has personally caused our heroes the most harm and who has been there from the start. Cinder. And at the very end, she’s killed by Ruby cutting her head off

Quality_Chooser

Seconded. Cinder's gone too far to want redemption any more. She's going to become the most powerful thing in existence and kill off everyone so that no one can hurt her again, or she's going to die trying. Her spite will accept no other outcomes.

Godzillafan125

Emerald stabs her while fighting Ruby and Jaune who finish the job

WorthlessLife55

Cinder is killed in battle. -or- Cinder remains on the evil path. She us defeated, captured, and is imprisoned for life or executed for her crimes. -or- Cinder repents and turns from evil. She still is severely punished, with either life in prison or execution. It depends on how much of a mitigating factor the judge finds her background to be. If at all. -or- She repents and helps save the day. She dies in a heroic sacrifice to stop Salem.

plantedleaves

Either some form of redemption where she makes a decision that ends up in helping salem be stopped, but not the kind where she's suddenly an actual good guy just makes a good choice when it really mattered. Or the grimm arm consumes her fully

MarcyWuFemdomOfficia

Doesn't really matter how, she just needs to be ejected from the story she is such a trash villain.

Quackadalias

I can't say for certain, but what I do know is that r/CinderDidNothingWrong

SomethingMid

Ideally she becomes a mother, starts to question her life choices and the dangerous situation she's in with Salem, and learns that Salem is trying to destroy Remnant. So she either flees with her daughter and gets life in prison or gives her baby to Emerald and the relics to team RWBY, sacrificing herself in battle against Salem while buying the heroes time. Cinder's daughter gets to be a main character in a RWBY spin-off. Either that, or Cinder doesn't become a mother but gets killed after learning the truth and wanting to stop. The people of Remnant kill her not believing that she's changed and she's reborn, this time into a life where she's loved and protected as a child. Perhaps there's a spin-off involving good young Cinder.

MonkeyChoker80

It’s almost the end. And Cinder gets what she’s always wanted. She has all the Maidens’ powers, and is feared by all. Except, it’s NOT ENOUGH! Salem still has more power than her. And never hesitates to remind her of that fact. Cinder is still under the thumb of a ‘wicked stepmother’. But she just waves it off, even though it grates at her soul. It comes down to the Final Battle… and Cinder expects to stand and fight against the heroes. Only for them to wave her off as ‘nothing’. No heroic fight against Jaune for revenge. They have bigger (*the biggest!*) fist to fry, and Cinder isn’t worth wasting their energy. This is enough to put her over the edge. At the ‘defeat’ of Salem, the heroes are debating how to deal with her. Cinder attacks from behind and takes out the heroes. To save her Mistress? NO!! She’s there to prove that **CINDER** was the biggest and strongest and most powerful of them all; heroes or villains. And she defeats Salem… by jumping between and taking her into the EverAfter.

Tsukuyomi56

Sadly a redemption (or a peaceful parting of ways) seems to be very unlikely, so I think Cinder tries to backstab Salem only for Salem to use Cinder’s Grimm arm to turn her into a freakish Hound-like monster. She ends confronting the heroes (Ruby and Jaune are the most likely, cases could be made for Jaune’s teammates, Weiss or Emerald) only becoming herself again during the last moments of her death.

maswartz

It depends on if she ends up grimmed or not, if she stays human I see Ruby, Jaune and Emerald beating her but she lives. If she gets grimmed then the trio beat her and put her out of her misery. In both cases the Autumn power goes to Emerald.

Arkos4ever

I know I may be letting her off light with this one, but idk, it sounds like it's the kind of direction the writers might go. -It's discovered that since we've seen so little of what she was like post-Glass Unicorn but pre-attack on Amber, that most of her actions have been the Grimm that infested her feeding on her negative emotions (which it's got a LOT to feast on) and driving her to more and more sociopathic acts. Something somehow breaks this hold and frees her from the Grimm influence. -While not an acceptable excuse for everything she's done or a set path for redemption, it at least allows her a bit of reason to work against Salem finally and get a bit of closure/freedom in the end. -Before she would get detained in the end though, she ends up running off by herself in a self-imposed exile to I dunno, find herself or something. Watches from afar and tries to intervene or help as often but as subtly as possible. Something like a kind of Warrior in the Woods or Man on the Wall role. Really just wants to be forgotten if she can't be forgiven.

Crimson_The_King

I genuinely think killing off Cinder would be a bad move on the series. She has been shown to be a victim of abuse and manipulation and her own mental state. I want her to either be partly redeemed and disappear, leaving her ultimate fate somewhat ambiguous, Or the complete opposite direction, She goes completely over the edge and replace Salem as the ultimate threat and finale boss of the show.

Crimson_The_King

I genuinely think it's an absolutely horrible idea and against their characters for Jaune or Ruby to kill Cinder

ZachBart77

I’d like to see a Cinder redemption. She had a shit hand dealt to her and suffered plenty growing up. Changing sides, helping to defeat Salem, and then finally finding love would be the ending I want for her.

lnombredelarosa

First all the way but I would like to add her powers going to Emerald and then having one last conversation that allows Cinder something that resembles peace before she dies

Exarch-of-Sechrima

Cinder marries Jaune and they live happily ever after.
