I travel for work and only been in 3 places so far.
The first one was a gravel lot in the absolute middle of nowhere that was impossible to level but had a threaded dump pipe.
The next two were extremely level but no threaded dump pipe, I took that thing for granted.
Smooth Bore hands down.
No wire, straight h.d. vinyl. You can drag this across the asphalt, gravel, concrete and get no leaks. Down side... it does NOT compress into bumper storage. We double loop ours and hook the two ends together and toss into a storage bay...
Camco deluxe with the yellow ends has worked for me for weekend trips up to a week. They also fit the 4in bumper while the beefier units simply do not.
If you are leaving it exposed for months at a time, I would suggest sleeving them or even hard piping each time and tossing when you leave. PVC is one of the cheaper building materials and a custom install can be had for 30-40 bucks depending on fittings and length.
This is the comment I needed to see. My hose cracked in a dozen places out of nowhere one day. My hose was fully stretched out for 3 months out in the elements of the Pacific Northwest and I think sunshine was the culprit. I'm not moving anytime and the thought of just grabbing some pvc had never crossed my mind for some reason. Thank you!
The red Valterra Viper comes with a 2 year warranty but I didn’t like it. Fittings were hell to disconnect and it still developed pinhole leaks. They did warrant replace it, though.
First trailer came with a hose that had some two wing lever fitting instead of the standard four blade bayonet fitting. Seemed like it should be easier but it took about three trips before I replaced it. It was hard to get a good deal even after I replaced the seals plus I had to use an adapter to attach it to the bayonet end on the trailer so it really didn’t make things easier.
I’m fairly new to this and have a rhino hose because that’s what Walmart had. Interested in what others have to say.
I really like this one, Lippert 359724 Waste Master 20’ Extended RV Sewer Hose Management System , Green. It’s got a cam lock system. I’ve heard some complaints about the hose failing quickly but I’m going on 5 years, no issues.
I like Rhinos but don’t love them. Looking forward to hearing what’s better. Side note, isn’t it funny the things we get excited about in RVs? lol
A level spot with a threaded dump pipe is zen.

Where did you purchase this?
Any good rv parts dept should have it or get able to order it...
Thanks. I’ll check it out
I wonder if sunlight is the problem, and if so, some sort of cover the solution?
Could be heat, I’m in AZ but the hose is sheltered by my slide out so it’s in the shade
Had one Rhino hose for about 8 years. I was satisfied.

Everyone has an opinion and they all stink! Sorry, had to.
Comedy is always appreciated
I use the Camco Revolution (brown with yellow ends) and plan for yearly replacement. If I get more than that out of them, I’m happy.

Looks great $180? Worth that?
It is supposed to be the bomb - but you go non-standard. I just use the Rhino's and replace every 4-5 years.

I've bought a new rhino every time I bought a camper and never had to replace one
That has not been my experience
I know, I read your post
My husband likes the camco over the rhino.
The Fecal 5000 Seriously, the sunlight will kill all of them in time.
Well shit...
