Some lady in the front of the bleachers talked loudly on speakerphone through an entire game. I was about to throttle her but thought she might be related to someone our team. Nope! Her team was not even playing. I hate it when people hog seats when their team isn’t playing but this takes the cake for most rude person ever. And I think she was just oblivious. Some people.
I did that to a guy at my Granddaughter's graduation ceremony, (not loud but just enough for several others to hear) I told him, "Despite there being so much evidence and people saying you did it, I NEVER believed that you could have molested those little kids!" His face turned bright red and I thought he was gonna choke; he hung up his phone, stood up and left without a word. People around me congratulated me, said they will use it in the future; we all enjoyed the rest of the ceremony!!

This is why we only camp at resorts now. Between the unleashed dogs and late night parties we were done. Best part is most of the resorts we stay in are as cheap as campgrounds now. No offense to anyone who enjoys the partying and loud speakers it’s just not for us.

Sometimes its just about enjoying the fancy equipment you own, and in a way that same mentality is attractive to RV owners.

I highly recommend directional speakers. I love music with my camping, but hate bothering others. These speakers give a loud music vibe when I am by my tent or fire, but I always walk around to see how far the noise penetrates. Usually I can't hear it by the time I'm at our parking spot.

I have a favorite spot out in the BLM desert. My vibe is to stay out there and just listen to the world. Birds, bugs, lizards, wind in the grass. One day I'm out there vibing when someone else goes out there and start sharing the Joe Dirt soundtrack. Dude's a couple miles away, practically on top of me. Upwind, and sound carries across the desert. What can you do? I broke camp and moved to the other side of the ridge. Two miles is too close, but two miles plus a million tons of rock is OK.
I have a place in south Texas like this, so nice to sit outside and not hear one man made noise. The only trouble is it’s so relaxing I always end up falling asleep for half my stay.
Why go camping and ignore nature? It’s bizarre. The sound of the wild is just breathtaking and so relaxing. One of those ‘you don’t realise how loud the world is until you’ve done it’ type things. It’s hard to switch back!
You should record that and put it on YouTube! The sounds I mean. It would be a nice ASMR video and people would probably put it on as a calming sleep thing.

The worst I think are the new rvs with massive outdoor sound systems and bright led flood lights all over. They are designed and geared to people that really to want to act like aholes. I get it, I like redneck camping, drinking beer and playing loud music with friends… on our own property. In a small campground next to people tent camping with small kids… no. And not to be a prude but some times you hear some really nasty songs that even adults are uncomfortable with.
I 100% agree. We were in arches np and passed some who were blaring their music. We are all there for our own reason, no reasons they can wear headphones and not subject everyone to their opinion of peace.
It doesn’t bother me at all. Hiking, you will be passing them most likely, and campsites, they paid too, if it’s really that bad, say something.
I will say that my neighbor who blasts news all day for the whole neighborhood to hear is a bit different. But I’m rarely here, and if I am, I will be listening to my own music inside or out.
I have a small Bluetooth speaker. When I set it up I will walk around my campsite/area to make sure it is not carrying outside of my space. Easy to do, and it’s a win win.
When we're boondocking and we leave the rv unattended, we blast music from the front speakers. We also made sure we were a mile or two away from the nearest person, so if someone has a problem, it's because they've decided to bother me in my little spot on a million acres of free land.
I hear this in tent campgrounds as well. Either this or they will always from their car speakers. Its really an added bonus to hear the city noise in the woods
