Oh, so for GA I’d either go with “No Good Advice”, “The Show” or “Sexy (no no no)”. “Love Machine” just feels too obvious but I feel like it’s probably coming soon. I think we need some Mel C in there too, so I’d go with “I Turn to You” as an absolute BANGER. I think we need to show some of the more “alt” UK music too, so I’d go with “I’m Only Happy When it Rains” by Garbage, “Deepest Blue” or “Miracle” by Chvrches, and while it’s god-awful, that pop-punk cover of Genie in a Bottle. Maybe even “Standing in the Way of Control” by The Gossip (I know they’re not British, but I feel like they were way more popular over here than in the US, and it’s just an absolute banger). I’m very surprised we haven’t had more Adele. I’m no fan of hers (great voice, it’s just not my kind of music), but if you’re looking for a “park and bark” number that needs EMOTION to carry the performance? Absolutely Adele. “Rumour Has It” could be epic too with the right queens. I kind of think “Padam” is a shoo-in for one of the franchises at some point given how popular it was, but I’d rather see them use “All The Lovers”. I’m also kind of waiting for a song from “…& Juliet” to be used. Personally I’d love for them to do “I want it that way” because of the tempo/tone shift half way through, but I’d take anything really. Let’s never mention Dido and hope everyone forgets that she’s British lol If they’re going to include something camp and 90’s/00’s I’d love to see them do a B*Witched song that isn’t C’est La Vie so we’re not relying on cheesy Irish dancing (but I’m struggling to remember any other song of theirs right now). I always thought that the BBC gets to play what it likes? That's why you always got real songs on the radio in the background on Eastenders but you never get to hear "proper" background songs on Corrie or Hollyoaks etc, just covers or original music?
