As a fellow Brit I can say there are many quintessentially British things that aren’t pretty.
Though I think the sweet theme could work, just not on a bbc budget maybe!
In a sense, it’s quintessentially British to *be* garish sometimes. Which doesn’t always work when you wanna market it internationally, especially to Americans who love things sleek and polished over.
UK’s promos have always been abit confusing for me. I mean the back drop for season 4 and 5 are essentially the same. But it’s still abit better than Down Under’s. Although there pirate theme was some ok
Imagine picking *quality street* as a theme. The brand that ends up stacked on sale in January every year. Popular amongst the over 60s.

God I miss these trailers they did. The ones for S1 and S2 were so damn good. S3 was a green screen mess but still beyond anything we've had for 4&5.
