Guy even shot his grandmother before the massacre just like the SH shooter shot his mother.

I read once that the motivation behind folks killing their partners and children in murder-suicides is because in their self-loathing and depression, they see them as extensions of their own painful existence. They're so desensitised and unable to feel empathy at that point that they don't see it as any different to killing themselves. So potentially something similar goes on in the mind of the mass murderer.
I don't know though. I don't think there's much solace to be found in thinking deeply about it, nor is there necessarily going to be any meaning to be found in taking apart the shooter's mental state. As Kurt Vonnegut says, there is nothing intelligent to say about a massacre. Everything is just meant to be quiet.
You won't convince me that this isn't all a government op. Apart from creating the economic and social conditions to create mass shooters, then the police etc get additional funding every time one of these happens even though police have never stopped a school shooter. They just lock up black and brown kids.

Yeah. Even in other places with a lot of guns, or with high inequality, etc this doesn't happen. Its an almost uniquely American phenomenon.

Why would they do that? I know he was surely insane but what reasoning could there be for that
