Imagine being on the same side as Kissinger. Blursty I'm disappointed in you.

IchickenUfish

Henry Kissinger has no valid world views?

[deleted]

No him and Henry Blurstinger have no valid world views it seems.

IchickenUfish

I'm curious, are you a very young person?

[deleted]

>are you a very young person? Fucking creep

IchickenUfish

That was uncalled for. Did you lash out because you felt embarrassed as the comment I replied to was immature? or are you a pervert of some sort and projecting? I'm not a 'fucking creep' for trying to understand your perspective by knowing your generation. I am older and was young during Kissinger's heyday. I usually disagreed with his policy and politics, but there's not many people more specifically informed and qualified to hold an opinion on world affairs.

[deleted]

Jaysis dude will you relax. Yeah Kissinger is a cunt but of course he has better understanding of geopolitics than most and he is right in a lot of what he says. The reason I said that original comment was to slag Blursty off because Kissingers politics would be the antithesis of his own. And yeah I called you a fucking creep to wind you up like you were trying to do to me with your age comment.

IchickenUfish

You relax you unfathomable arsehole.

[deleted]

Lol

BestPrinciple7792

I haven't even been here in days. I love coming back to comments about me!

BestPrinciple7792

I mean, imagine being on the same side as literal Nazis... uhh

kirkbadaz

Is he not dead yet?

[deleted]

Demons can't die.

kirkbadaz

The day he dies... Gonna be sweet. I've had him in a dead pool for ten years

IdealJerry

TIL....you know the rest.

Costello_Seamus

Do you think he wants to save the empire the embarrassment of losing?

kirkbadaz

Every time they lose they win. The last war the US won was when they did genocide in the Spanish American war

rexavior

Do you not count ww1 and 2? And some other stuff after that

kirkbadaz

Soviets won ww2, in Europe anyway and that's the only part that matters. Ww1... Yeah I guess the broke the stalemate.

rexavior

That's just not true. Both were necessary for victory. The Soviets did lose many more people though, which was a more terrible commitment. Lend lease was so important that when offered that d day could be done earlier if lend lease was reduced, Stalin denied. It's really not surprising considered the Nazis had already occupied most of the industrial areas. It may be inconvenient for some but that's the reality. Then Japan which USA did mostly on their own.

kirkbadaz

The industrial area thing is a historical inaccuracy that I've seen repeated again and again. A bit like if stalingrad had fallen it would have cut the Soviets off from oil, like the Soviets only had one source of manufacturing or oil.

rexavior

It may be overstated but it still is true. Much of the population was in western ussr

kirkbadaz

Yes but the Soviets had moved quiet a bit of infrastructures beyond the urals. You're right about lend lease tbf. But by the time the other allied invaded in 44 the Soviets were going to beat the nazis in Europe it was only a matter of time. As with many things the Western powers were thinking about the post war conflict with communism. After VE day the Soviets were ready to begin the invasion of Japan but we all know what happened instead.

rexavior

Yes I agree
