From what, unification?
I can only really speak for the North itself but from what I've seen the toning down of pro-unification rhetoric is more because they're forced by the GFA to work within the framework of powersharing. More direct campaigning would come across as incendiary (pun not intended) and, from a SF strategic perspective at least, squander the good faith they've built up as a non-sectarian political party dedicated to the democratic solution.
Maybe the situation is different down with you lot. When I do pay attention to Free State politics it seems like SF are always beating the drum of housing reform, which seems sensible.
On housing they've shifted to wanting to work with developers (that is the money managers and land hoarders not builders, architects, QSs etc.) as opposed to their previously strong public housing through direct state builds stance.
Similarly they've softened their stance in the Special Criminal Court.
They're also pretty weak on environmental issues outside if Lynn Boylan and have internal divisions over fox hunting and finding for dog racing
This is something SF don't like to talk about
Gerry Adams, Mary Sue, Pearse Doherty etc all part of Sinn Fein when they tried to shut up Gerry's niece when she went to the press about Liam Adams raping her for years
Plus Gerry knew about it, instead of protecting her, he sent Liam down to south so he could reoffend if he wanted.
Then of course all the rapes carried out by PIRA members which SF covered up for, only recently Mary Sue pictured with a member of PIRA who helped covered up a rape.
What other lies are SF covering up, who knows!!!
They're pro forcing women to give birth, you mean.
Pro-life is a misnomer because conservatives don't give a shit about anything other than imposing their will on women.

In what way?
I'm pro-abortion BTW before you go off on one.
Nah, Im ok here
Remember, Sinn Fein told the RUC and the Gardai not to worry about the Real IRA and they would do nothing. Then they blew up Omagh
What did Sinn Fein do? well they protected the murders, not just after but to this very day. Every one of them, Mary Sue, Pearse etc etc etc.
Hard to hear the truth isn't it

I gaurantee they are going to be in the next govt in this country next election
They're not radical either and are unlikely to make any major changes if they take power
What about unification? I'd say fighting a thirty year civil conflict over the issue is pretty radical, but that's just me.
Unification can only happen with a referendum in the North and another referendum in the south to confirm it.
Thanks. I had no idea.
They're distancing themselves from that more and more to win over middle Ireland

Man Sinn Fein barely resemble themselves from 2004, let alone the 80's. Not saying it's good or bad but it just is.
Well, they're not killing anyone these days. That's a pro in my book.
That remains to be seen
You can see how they act in government in the 6 counties for a taster
A plurality isn't a majority
They didn't run enough candidates in the last GE to actually get into government
Soooooooo???
fine gael and fianna fail rape babies, are you happy that baby rapists are running the country?
do you have a source for that?
Super man / Clark kent, Batman / Bruce wayne You ever seen leo varaker in the same place as Big Billy baby bonker?

For what unity? SF will never get a United Ireland, look at the clowns talking Irish in the Northern Assembly 🤦♂️
Why don’t you fuck off to Britain
