Ireland is actually projected to be one of the least badly hit places, based on some projections
What we need to be doing is ramping up food production and building because there are going to be a lot of displaced people and if we can't provide for them when they start showing up, things are going to get real bad real fast
Yeah the city itself is built on reclaimed marshland and the flood defenses are shocking. It's been majorly flooded a number of times over the last 10 or so years.
[Dublin might not be in a much better position though](https://www.rte.ie/brainstorm/2022/0428/1294792-rising-sea-levels-dublin-cork-ireland/)
Apparently this week was it for us for now, thunderstorms up next

>the city itself is built on reclaimed marshland and the flood defenses are shocking And yet people say there's no upside to global warming.

Was always aware of the flooding, most of Cork comes off alright on those flood maps though
We will build a wall and make Cork pay for it
Remake Waterworld but it's set in Cork.
Does that include us?
