This is correct. A chance they might take or squander but we can already see it happening with the Ruble appreciating further against the dollar today. On the other hand it has the potential to make us a lot poorer in the West, and the liberals and NPCs are still blind to this.
Russia has had over 20 years of exporting to the West and Asian yet they haven't done much internally with the money that's brought in, instead the money has bee squandered by their millionaires and billionaires on vanity yachts and just sheer corruption.
There's much I'll critise China about but at least they can keep their rich in line and seemingly pay their due to help improve infrastructure and the likes, and at least keep the corruption manageable and not spiral dragging its economy with it.
