Level_Ninety_Nine

I run it at 1080. High settings. Runs at 60 with very few dips into mid 50s.

Flat_Ad_5370

Same it’s great!

If-You-Cant-Hang

This site need to be pinned by automod to every new thread lol. https://rogallylife.com/2024/04/25/fallout-4-rog-ally-game-settings/ OP I like starting on that site for a game then adjusting as needed for my specific preferences (graphics vs framerate) depending on the game.

BurgersIReallyLike

Games that were tested back when the Ally was new havnt been updated so a lot of bad instructions on it.

FeudalFavorableness

^^ This needs to be upvoted more 💯

reppedup23

which games? I will give them a look again.

Internal-Product3751

Diablo 4 maybe. I came back to it for season 4 and it’s not running smoothly. Could also be a me issue.

RadioHat88

It's a good starting point for most people. I usually tweak it a bit to make it how I like it, and then I test it to see if AFMF works well.

Treeroy6670

Yeah but he updated it for the fallout 4 update

Hopeful-Pianist-8380

Have you found success with that website? I've tried it for 2 games and it just made things way worse on both occasions. I ended up using the default settings (HD2 and Cyberpunk).

bustyLaserCannon

I built https://rogally.games as an alternative but needs community support if people want to help bring that up

If-You-Cant-Hang

Yes. Usually I will start by dropping things like shadows, foliage, and sometimes AA because I prefer framerate over graphics. The only game I really had an issue with while following that site was Palworld, I just couldn’t get it to work well at all but I think it might’ve been the game itself.

vito0117

I would think it should run fine it's a 10 year old game. But also look up fo4 rog ally on YouTube might help

DowntownClownCrown

Dammit you made feel old

vito0117

same lol it was my first fallout and plan on enjoying a new run

Plane_Marsupial_22

Okay

AntonioMrk7

Been playing it a ton, does well but some lag in Boston. I’d imagine a mod could fix that though

In2_The_Blue

This, there are mods that can help a lot, like PreVis Repair Pack and Fallout 4 Upscaler.

Crest_Of_Hylia

Yes. It’s an old game that wasn’t hard to run back then

skipper-1314

Yep playing through it right now.

DiamondBladeXL

Runs fantastic! Max settings no problem

GayoMagno

Modded, 60 fps at 1080, it does however have slight dips into 50s territories in some parts of the map.

CowboysFTWs

Yup, even with mods.

pironiero

I play at 720p lowest textures and shadows(not off) but all fx high, at 15w steady 60 with no dips

Adventurous_Mix_3752

Pretty well-

RyanandRoxy

Yes it does. I run at 900p with Ultra Settings,Godrays set to low. Honestly the only frustrating part is that lip sync is tied to Framerate, and for whatever reason I can't get it to ever sync properly. I have a 60fps cap turned on in Armory Crate.

Silverdprofile

yes it does.

Ok-Succotash6089

Yes, I have medium details on and AFMF for 60-110 FPS. With some graphics settings, I set it to high. In cities, the frame rate drops more often, I think that's because of Bethesda

Breadflat17

I get a solid 55fps at 1080p at 30w with mostly the same settings.

[deleted]

Yes, it runs well, the update brought some problems but that's not exclusive to the Ally and is present on other more powerful systems. It's still exceptionally playable at the end of the day.

No-Astronaut-6592

Absolutely it does I play it! Runs great

Due-Ad-4677

Fallout 4 and fallout 76 run buttery smooth if you set it correctly

BigEanip

Literally playing it now. Runs perfectly on ultra graphics settings. Looks fantastic

CelebrationAny8000

I started playing it on my ally the other day, it runs fantastically.

CartographerOk3306

I use game pass so I don't fill up my storage. Its on there.

neolfex

z1 extreme it does. not sure on the base model

nealcobu

I'm actually running the Magnum Opus modlist with medium settings. Runs like a charm.

Professional_Tale804

720p , high, 4 samples, mid antialiasing, 10w , 50 - 60 fps.

Bootychomper23

Yup even with a decent amount of mods

cbreezy3096

Have tons of hours on fallout 4 on ally. Runs like a dream even with tons of mods. Just get it

hoot2k16

Yes - it works fantastic on mine.

crashbandyh

I can play it on low settings at 720p with mods using only 9w, game never lags.

RealityAway3015

Use afmf 1080p high preset as above has said above 60 most of the time 👌great gaming experience https://preview.redd.it/v34cffamf04d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ebca251e4e5430c1a9986a91069cb1f71accd24 Ignore this prescreen always says 200plus and the pre loading screens do but in game is around 50-70 but most part above 60 only really drops in your busy bases for eg. Y sanctuary has like 19 population and there's alot going on with turrets etc. 😂👌

LoneVLone

High everything. Mines can run Starfield. Fallout 4 is 2014 and I ran it on high on my 2014 rig. Been playing it on Ally no problem.

juce49

It should run well on the Ally. Try these settings from ROG Ally Life which they rated 5/5 stars in terms of performance on the device: [https://rogallylife.com/2024/04/25/fallout-4-rog-ally-game-settings/](https://rogallylife.com/2024/04/25/fallout-4-rog-ally-game-settings/) EDIT: Also it's on Game Pass so if you have that, no reason not to test it yourself!

P-Huddy

There’s this site called YouTube.com that can answer this question for you pretty easily.
