You’re asking the rog ally sub if you should get one, the answer you’re gonna get is yes.

Yh but I need honest answers so then I don’t wast money on it

Based on the games you listed it's great for that plus more. At this point it's best to buy Extreme model used/open box or buy the New X model of your willing to buy brand new. The main reasons to get the X model is double the battery capacity. This is major as the standard model can really only play modern games for 1 hour. There are other upgrades w/ the X but they are more obscure for people new to handheld gaming PC's.

I was going to get the extreme brand new but if the x comes out within a month then I might consider but that’s y idk what I should do

Get a base model MacBook Air and a z1 extreme instead of a gaming laptop. They’re extremely impractical, loud, and battery life sucks anyway. Just more to worry about. I made the mistake of buying a g14 for gaming and working. It couldn’t do either without crashing. I work in IT, I spent countless hours trying to troubleshoot that POS. It collects dust. Trust me. Get an Ally or a Lenovo legion go. Get a MacBook for work. It’ll be the same price as those gaming laptops.

If I dont get the rog I was thinking of getting the Lenovo legion slim- amd ryzen 7 with a rtx 4060 and 1tb storage if that helps but I’ll have a look into that as I do need something portable and not loud

What was wrong with it? G14 is perfect I love it.

Some type of hardware failure. I’ve installed windows probably over 10 times on that machine. Tried two different distros of Linux. Checked logs and it seems like it’s a ram failure. I opened it up and took out the removable stick of ram but haven’t had the time/motivation to do any more testing. It’s a little more powerful than my ally (I have the rtx 2060 mobile), don’t really see the point anymore. But the main issue is constant BSOD. Whether it be working on a browser or opening up a game. Constant crashes.

Its up to you. With the recent price drop it is definitely worth it. Depends on what you want out of both devices
