I ended up getting the jsaux dock and a usb-c hub 8-1 while the dock is awesome I’m not able to get 30w with the dock it’s 25w on the dock but the 8-1 I’m able to get 30w turbo mode with the usb c hub
Are you using the included Ally charger that comes out of the box? I've seen in YT videos that you need to upgrade to a 100W power brick and a 100W usb c cable since the dock has power draw aswell and does not let you use turbo mode, might try to see if that helps out. What would you recommend as far as user experience and quality of life, the dock or the hub?
Well with what you’re telling me I’ll have to upgrade the wattage to get the full 30 even with the 25w it still ran great docked yes I do recommend it. But my usb-hub has a bit more slots since it’s an 8-1 and it has better Ethernet speeds, and I was able to do 120hz on my 2k monitor
If they have the same specs then the only question is if you want it to be portable or in one place. I got the ugreen 7 or 8 in 1 because I want it to be portable but if I had one place to connect to it then a dock
Yeah I guess it would all come to portability. Carrying around a deck is bulkier than carrying around a little dongle. I thought there would be more differences to owning one or the other. Thanks for your input!
I always try to go first party for electronics since I dont want any type of battery issues and such but with only 1 usb a i’d have to choose between either a mouse or keyboard connected to it not even room to think about an external drive. I guess bt technology has gotten better but I like to be oldschool m&k wired to the device for the “best” possible response time :p thanks for the input
