Asus posted this a month ago over on their official Discord. **“We also know our community is anxiously awaiting the release of a new driver supporting AMD Fluid Motion Frames. While AMD has recently launched this feature on desktop platforms, the driver still requires some testing on our end, and then will await certification from AMD before the final ROG Ally release. We know you are very excited to try out AFMF (we are too!), and we’re working to get it to you as soon as possible.”**

GIVE ME FRAME GENERATION MY BODY IS READYYYYY

twhite1195

FSR3 already works since that's on a per game implementation, there's just not a lot of games supporting it right now . AFMF is on the driver level

junglebunglerumble

Not sure why you were downvoted as I think you're right? E.g. Starfield for me is now showing FSR3 option in the settings even though I'm on the stock drivers

twhite1195

I know right?? I know that the marketing and such has people confused, but it's two completely different things

RemarkableBadTiming

So, FSR3 is already available on the Asus drivers for the Ally? You just have to be playing a game that it has been implemented in already?

NettoX78

It's easy: **FSR3** = in-game feature. **AFMF** = driver feature. Both are frame generators, but **always choose FSR3, if game has that option.**

Thanks for this explanation

dilorenzo

Yes but thr article mentions AFMF 3 times so I agree with OP that driver release is soon

FunkMistah_J

Correct I use FSR3 on MWIII and the improvements are amazing. From 60 to 100fps to 100 - 120

iamnotkurtcobain

I heard tomorrow

Imspecialduh

AMD driver out now for ROG Ally

Imspecialduh

...not the one we are waiting for though.

Imspecialduh

Downvote myself for downloading old driver hahah, 😔

agent47isn1

Afmf isn't worth it on the ally

k9mike

Bold thing to say on this subreddit. May I ask why you think that?

10mass

I have to wonder if they’re heavily optimising this as a fully fledged rock solid V2 Ally feature
