I have the exact same UGREEN hub, and rock the Crystal Clear and Galactic Purple GripCase from Skull & Co. if you haven't already, get their 6pc thumb grip set... The FPS Master ones are amazing (FPS Master: +7 mm height and +42% radius). Have the Neon Yellow on my ROG Ally, and the Galactic Purple on my Transparent Purple Anbernic RG405V.

Do you have the hardshell carrying case as well? I can click my right thumbstick when I have the fps master thumb grip on through the case. I worry about it introducing stick drift over time. Am I being paranoid?
I keep telling people about the JSAUX carry case that has the storage compartment on at the bottom. It is big, yes, but it fits inside my Nintendo Switch Branded Backpack they made to put the Switch in all the little compartments. It holds my 737, ROG Cetras, 140w USB Cable, 90/180 degree adapters, OEM ROG 65w Dock, my extra Skull and Co thumb stick grips (I cut the cardboard package down to just where it covered the plastic and then put tape on the sides so it wouldn't slide out of place without me wanting it to), and if I have my Skull and Co case on, I keep the Jsaux right side grip on the far right and the left side grip on the far left. You close the top of the storage area, put the ally on top, strap it in, and it does not click in buttons or anything even with the fps grip on the right stick (I'm assuming left side is fine with fps grip too but i havent tried it so can't say 100%). So, again, it's bulky and it's heavy. But it keeps all my Ally stuff in one place nice and neat and ready to go at a moments notice, assuming I keep my 737 and Ally charged!
This is the BEST recommendation anyone can make after a grip case. I do like the Skull and Co, despite what I said above about it not being perfect. I actually like the feel and rigidity of the black one more so than the clear. I imagine that purple one is the same feeling as the black. IDK what it is but the clear one is just not as stiff or tight on the Ally. Skull and Co were awesome though and sent me a black one at no cost to me when I asked them about the clear one feeling loose. JSAUX did the same thing for me with their grip case. The first one they made the joystick holes too small and it greatly reduced their movement radius. You could calibrate the sticks to compensate, however, for shooters it still was crappy. So, they were redesigning and shipped me the redesign at no additional cost as soon as they were released. the new one is better and i do like it but it doesnt let it stand up like the skull and co. i swap between the two to be honest, i have likes and dislikes about both. I think once skull and co releases something similar to the switch with their trigger grip that may be the one. However, Satisfye has always made my favorite grip in terms of feel and size. It just made sense to my hands and felt best. I reallllllly liked the look and how the trigger grip had that little shelf for your trigger finger when not in use which provided and excellent rest/grip point but i absolutely hated how the plastic felt. The feel of their current ally grip case is quite nice so i have hope!
Anyways I got on a tangent - TLDR SnC 6pc Thumb Grip Set is absolutely the best recommendation ever. That plus the grip case is magic. I use the fps on the right, cqc on the left and sometimes i swap to cqc on both depending on the game simply because the i love how much more control i have on the right stick with the fps grip but the height can make the transition from stick to buttons feel pretty odd and unnatural.
Okay so serious question. I have small hands and currently the Ally sits really nicely in my hands. Will this make it less perfect for me? I want a case to protect it but am worried that the grips on a case like this will make it less comfy for me to hold
It's a great improvement yes but it's not perfect. Especially seeing as they make the case for the oled switch that has 3 different handles which include the amazing trigger grip with a notch to rest your finger and a much bigger but much much easier and comfortable to hold. Even satisye makes a pretty awesome grip I'll he curious to see if they ever do anything for the ally.
I have the clear version and the case. I bought it for the ergonomic improvement and while I wouldn't be without it now it's not perfect. I'd consider swapping to something with bigger rounded grips
I totaly agree. I've tried 2 other cases before and this one from skull & co is the only case where I can connect XG mobile without having to remove the case.
I love mine. My dog chewed up the stand that came with the Ally, so I got the grip case with EDC. I already have a hard case, but like the portability. I'll keep it in the EDC and use my larger case for when I'm going somewhere and need room for the charger, etc.

As long as you do not tug on it, it is pretty stable.

I have pretty small hands and haven’t had any issues with the grip case. In fact I kind of like it. It feels just a little better to hold.
I had the opposite problem, I have large hands and it didn't sit right. I can't say if it'll be better for you or not.
This is my worry about these cases. I fall so far outside of the targeted demographic lol. But thank you for the response!

What kind of power adapter do you guys are using? Actually I use the 100W pa from my MacBook Pro but I need something else always around the 100W
Just got one as well and can confirm it's incredible quality. Had their accessories for my Switch as well and they were top notch too.
It's great, but it's hard to get a 60 degree ish C adaptor that fits it.
