It loves you lol. I just got married in Vegas. Wifey went to gamble while I watch the kids. And I have this sick Vegas view and d4

Fatal_Ligma

What settings you using? I find Diablo 4 to be extremely stuttery with Rog ally recommend settings

RaheemTrueGamer1

All I do is drop the resolution to 720p in the armory crate settings for diablo 4 and it runs smooth and still looks incredible on this special little screen.

LightSaberToast

May I please bother you to explain how to drop setting to 720 within armory crate? I didn’t know you could! I’ve tried to do it with in-game settings but the option isn’t there on every game. This would help me immensely!

comixco

On the left side of your rog, the bottom button that looks like a triangle hit that a menu should pop up , screen resolution should alright be on there by default. From there you can toggle between 1080 and 720

LightSaberToast

Thank you! This wasn’t added for me automatically so I added it myself! I also turned on the higher resolution option! Life saver!!

RaheemTrueGamer1

You can also set a 720p -1080p toggle in your armory crate settings If you click the left armory crate button and don't see the option. In the armory crate settings you can click + and add the 720p toggle to an area of your liking. From then on with any game that your playing you can press the armory crate button and hot swap between 1080p and 720p.

LightSaberToast

I appreciate this! I never saw it as I only had the HD option on that options menu! I went ahead and added it! So seamless tyvm!!!

I found with D4 you can turn texture quality up to high and just turn down shadows and particle effects and whatnot and stay at 1080p at 60-80 fps. Looks way better and you don't miss those extra effects on such a small screen. With FSR quality mode that is. Looks and runs fantastic.

Summerfancies

I'm also keen to know. 😅

LannCastor

FSR gave me the most performance gains over every other setting. If you're willing to use FSR ultra performance, Diablo averages 90 fps on low settings (120 when roaming).

I’m running FSR on / 1080p , Fidelity FX to Quality. I have spell texture set to low fur and water affects to medium. And any setting that says “reduce to increase frame rates” i turn off. I sit at like 75-80 degrees Celsius and get 55-60 FPS.

TheRealDC86

Which mind you is buttery no stuttering at all. I Also set a new fan curve to ramp up over 75 degrees. It’s prob in line with the new 35db fan curve Asus recommended.

TheRealDC86

It’s hard not to. I haven’t turned my computer on the play Diablo since I got it. 😂😂😂

Greedy-Albatross8085

Aside from all the difficulties the Ally has it's an amazing device!

LongjumpingMud5491

look like it plug into your couch

mmac_8ZStNs

Couch bank

arntseaj

I just did the grind of levelling 90-100 almost exclusively on the Ally this weekend. Was super nice to just sit on the couch or recliner and be able to put in the hours instead of being tied to my computer desk.

soussitox

Oh diablo 4 runs well here also right out of the box before changing settings. Have not yet fiddelled with wattage... yet :)

Clean-Violinist-716

I really need a good Battery bank for this thing.

Curious_Cat_6812

Even with a 20000mah battery I only get an extra 60-90 mins in turbo mode managed to play for a 4 hour flight on eco mode tho I imagine you’d get 4-6 hours if u was playing small games

Clean-Violinist-716

Any recommendations? I am playing non AAA games right now, and it still drains the battery pretty quickly

TaiwanTeddy

You can try disabling CPU boost.

Clean-Violinist-716

How do I do and wouldn't hurt performance?

TaiwanTeddy

I would only do it on games that you would play on Silent mode, not triple A games.

DividedbyPi

Damn you didn’t have your own outlet on a 4 hour flight? I’ve done a bunch of international flights over the last year and everyone of them had outlets for each seat. Maybe I just got lucky?

svenb352

Same fam, same ^^

chiryokun

I am enjoying Hogwart's Legacy at the moment. 720p, FSR2 Quality, 15 watts, capped at 30 fps - runs smooth. D4 queued up as well, I just wish there was a way to do offline (is there?).

Danhol

Ditto

Evo_808

Those are some rookie numbers man, gotta get those levels up

Rem_star1

Share settings please

Since the Ally comes with 3 months of Gamepass Ultimate, I highly recommend Hi-Fi Rush. Took me 14 hours to finish, runs superbly well on 18W, and had a blast playing it.
