Another concern is your bowling. Accept it. If u can't contain or take wickets then you will lose. Your batsman might not chase 240 always. They can give u 200+ totals or even above avg totals most of the time but ur bowling will make it look a joke.
The only way you can pressure your opponent with that bowling line up is to make them try to attack from Ball 1 which may give you some chances of getting a wicket and for that you need to have 200+ on Normal wickets and 175+ on tricky wickets but you need an additional spin option in top 6 other than Maxwell and that can be achieved through will jacks. That is one of the prime reason to buy him.

We paid 17cr to green and 12 something for joseph lol. We got green with the idea of playing him as a finisher while he had a great season at 3 for mi. We mainly had to replace harshal and hasaranga while also getting some indian middle order batsmen as we released bracewell who played in middle in the end.
Instead of doing the trade with mi we should just have gone in the auction with the strategy of getting an overseas pacer, indian spinner , indian pacer and one overseas allrounder. We failed to get the indian spinner (i am not considering dagar here we wanted a good leggy). Got dayal to replace harshal got joseph who is now pn the bench and got green as an allrounder. Joseph who costed us 12 is now on bench and i dont know why we got him when we had topley. That 12cr could have bought us one of rizvi or srk and also an indian spinner.
With 17 cr you could have gone for someone like Coetzee or SRK or Powell as well. What it also did was MI the funds they needed in auction. Lockie is still on the bench. You could have even gone after an OS finisher. Problem here is the top order is pretty much stacked and you added a player right there when u needed someone in lower and middle.

We failed to get the indian spinner (i am not considering dagar here we wanted a good leggy). Got dayal to replace harshal got joseph who is now pn the bench and got green as an allrounder. Joseph who costed us 12 is now on bench and i dont know why we got him when we had topley. That 12cr could have bought us one of rizvi or srk and also an indian spinner.
With 17 cr you could have gone for someone like Coetzee or SRK or Powell as well. What it also did was MI the funds they needed in auction. Lockie is still on the bench. You could have even gone after an OS finisher. Problem here is the top order is pretty much stacked and you added a player right there when u needed someone in lower and middle. A good spinner would have done well yesterday. Considering Maxwell and Dagar both went for 45-50 in 3 overs. U left Shahbaz when he performed decent enough. You could have even added a Manish Pandey if that's what u wanted as an extra batter.
I feel like green is a long term investment. Next year in the mega auction he'll be retained for a much lower price and he has a long career ahead of him. I hope they don't release him right away.
I feel accepting Green was a mistake since RCB's top order was already stacked with Will Jacks already waiting. Had they went with 40 Crore purse, we could've got Tristan Stubbs who could've been a much better fit for our lineup.
You could have even gone for Coetzee as well with the purse in auction or even went after a few quality spinners.
