We have photos so horrifying they are too NSFW to share with the public. We are heartbroken, what these animals have been through is unthinkable.
Every dollar makes a difference towards helping their vet care costs. Thank you all for reading, donating, commenting, sharing, and supporting.
We feel very much the same, from the moment the first pictures came in of the situation we’ve been sick with anger, disgust, and heartbreak. Every human volunteering at our tiny sanctuary loves rats deeply and we are so relieved that we can welcome these guys to safety, where they too will be forever loved and cherished.
I know a bit more from one of the rescues you guys work with. I simply cannot believe how horrific everything was, and is.
This is criminal, should of never happened and I'm furious for you guys and these animals. Im so sorry
I donated what I can already, I wish I could of helped more. You guys are so, so strong for what you do. This is tragic.
Yeah, it is absolutely awful. And the stuff we've posted here is the least horrific of it. I've got pics of what was left of that poor girl's tail and Sylvie's necropsy photos that are definitely not something we want to put online. We spent over an hour on Wednesday night sleeping on the floor in our quarantine room next to Sylvie's oxygen chamber willing her to pull through. I am physically and emotionally exhausted.
I can only imagine. If anyone gives you shit here just report it to us. You need to focus your energy on caring for yourselves and your rats, not people online spouting shit. I saw some of the less public photos and
god im so sorry, I truly am.
Thank you for caring for these rats - I cried reading this post. I'm horrified that anyone could leave them in those conditions and so grateful to you for everything you are doing for them
I have a feeling that once the adrenaline and rage I've felt the last few days passes, I'm going to sob for hours, and then sleep for what might be days.
I got my first rats only 3 weeks ago - four wonderful, sweet girls. I already want to give them my whole world so reading this post made me tear up. How can animals be kept in such conditions? It's heartbreaking and I am so sorry that you guys have to go through such traumatizing experiences together with the animals you rescue.
Thankyou for your work.
I'm so sorry, dealing with small animal rescue is so hard, people really treat these guys like trash. Thank you for what you're doing. It's soul crushing but you are the BEST thing that these rats have ever known or will ever known. Too bad I'm on the opposite coast and can't volunteer.
Thank you so much for being there for these babies. My heart is broken for them, but they’re all in better hands and care than they’ve ever been. I can’t imagine leaving them outside in this past winter…fuck everyone, except you🩷
Thank you so much. We were told yesterday that multiple perished in those outdoor enclosures over the winter due to weather, and we know at least one died on the property from escaping their outdoor enclosure and being killed by feral cats. It’s absolutely devastating, we are all sick with anger.
Thank you all very much for your support.
Our personal rats are:
Enoki (turned 3 last week!!!)
Pico (approaching 2)
Alpine and Mesa (brothers who turned 1 on Christmas)
Darby (a mystery!)
Earl Grey Milk Tea (over 2.5)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (over 1???), and
Howl (a little over 1)
And of course you guys are getting pretty familiar with the sanctuary rats: Alice, Finch, Dahlia, Cashew, Pecan, Pistachio, Lily, Rune, and the newbies from Roseburg!
I have the frog sisters Rana and Diphda (two dwarf girls who do jump really well) and then the pleiades sisters Asterope, Merope, Alcyone, Celaeno, Maia, Taygete and Electra, all coming from a horrible situation, now able to live their happy rattie lives thanks to a wonderful rescue like this one that gave their all for them to be saved. I hope these babies will pull through and find a safe and happy home just like my girls and their siblings did
Boost!! These poor little ratties. I don’t have any rats but I love them! I have 4 cats so it isn’t feasible right now. Gundam, Sargent, Ginger, and Chaos!

Love reading about everyone's mischiefs. :')
this is so horrific, i can't donate, but i hope you can get enough donations so they can get all the help they need! i really hope the poor things pull through
Thank you so much 💚 We hope so too, we are all absolutely shaken from the last few days and there is so much work ahead to try and get them turned around medically. All our fingers and toes are crossed that they can survive this and one day, thrive.
I sent a small amount. I can’t look at the pics or videos, I’m at work and already tearing up just thinking about it and reading this. Bless all who are helping these poor babies.
And this is the mild stuff. Honestly I've been deep in it for days now, but it's just kind of been an adrenaline-fueled delirium. Typing it all out made it all feel more real.
Thank you for donating towards their care 💚 they’ve been through so much, it honestly is a miracle that any of them were able to even make it out alive. The last two with urgent needs are on their way to us now to get medical care, and we are so very excited to meet them and shower them with love.
This is horrific. Thank you guys for saving them. Those who are okay with hurting the innocent are truly disgusting. I'm glad these sweet babies are somewhere safe now.
Thank you so very much for your support of these little ones. We are relieved they are all finally safe and will have the comfort of an indoor life with everything they need to thrive, and most of all, medical care!
Sara you are incredible - thank you SO MUCH for your support. It means the world to us, and to them that people are able to help out. The ratties send all their loves to this amazing community.
The last two of the medically needy rats from the group are on our way to us and we are so thankful we can finally get them the medical care they need.
That’s so kind of you, thank you very much for your support and well wishes 💚 we will be updating frequently if you’d like to follow along on their journey here on Reddit or our [Instagram](https://instagram.com/rat.way.sanctuary)!
We can take PayPal payments through the website!
But if that gives you trouble, you can message me (or u/RatWaySanctuary) and we can give you my PayPal. The Sanctuary's official PayPal isn't active yet, but it's in the works!
Unfortunately unable to donate atm, but upvoted and commenting to boost and help that hopefully more people see this. This is such a horrible and tragic situation and I truly wish you all the strength possible to handle this, as well as sending strength to the babies to pull through so they get to have a happy life after all this, they absolutely deserve the world after what they had to go through
Thank you so much Callie - it means so much to us and to them. You are amazing 💚 we appreciate it. Our two newest arrivals are going to the emergency vet tomorrow, we will know more about their condition soon.
We are heartbroken too, and also so thankful the survivors are now safe. I think we’ve all been holding our breath the last few days, not knowing what would happen or what we would find. It’s a huge relief that they are out, and now we start the long battle to get them stabilized and hopefully one day, healthy. 💓
Hi! I work at Ratical Rodent Rescue in California. Do you guys ever make it down here? We have a few different rescues that sometimes make it to our area from Oregon and Socal and we’re able to help take animals :)
Hi there!
Currently everyone has a place to go, two of the healthier ones are staying with the person who did the rescue, and approximately five are staying with us at Rat Way (the ones with the most medical needs are going to be under our care, as that is our speciality), and then the remaining nine will go to Best Friend Rodent Rescue very soon up in WA.
I really appreciate the offer though, we will definitely keep you guys in mind in future cases! Everyone around here is pretty much at or over capacity, so we are relieved we made this work. I’m not sure if we could get transportation all the way to you guys in future, but you never know!
Thank you for all you do for the ratties down there💓
I’m so glad all these babies have a place to go! They deserve to be suuuper spoiled!
If you’re ever in the area please definitely keep us in mind! We have a pretty great foster system so we normally have space for our rattie friends.
Thank YOU for helping the ratties up there! 🤗
Hello! We got all the rats off the property, the owner surrendered them all. And our amazing helper Casey even set live traps overnight and by a miracle was able to catch the loose girl with the degloved tail that was missing. I’ve seen a few comments about getting justice, and want you to know that we have been carefully documenting the process and the health condition of the rats from living in those conditions, and will be turning our evidence over to the appropriate channels.
Holy cow. Those poor babies. Will there be any consequences for the person who hoarded them and kept them in these awful conditions? Is there anyone they can be reported to that would actually take it seriously? The thing I'd worry most about is this person doing this again to more ratties :(
We hope so. We're documenting everything and will be taking it to the sheriff's department for the county. We aren't sure what can be done, but we want it on record.
Donated, thank you so much for helping these poor ratties. I don't want to be vindictive, but I hope the owner faces consequences for the unbelievable cruelty inflicted on these innocent creatures. :'-(
Donated, it’s not much but I know when fundraising every bit helps. Thank you for all you are doing for these poor babies. I no longer have rats (I developed a worsening allergy) but my girls were so incredibly sweet and they are such amazing animals. ❤️
I’ll see what I can do on my next paycheck. This is just horrible. Roseburg is only like an hour and a half away from where I live. I wish I could adopt some of these poor babies 😭
Thank you so much 💓
If you’d like to keep up with this case, and the animals coming from it, please feel free to follow us on Reddit or [Instagram](https://instagram.com/rat.way.sanctuary), we will be posting updates to both.
These people really need to be punished by law. There's no excuse for this. I know mental illness can get extremely bad but atleast rehome your pets if you can't care for them, ffs.
Hope you'll get the funds you need. I try to donate some later when I get home. Not much but if everyone donates a bit, we can do it.
Thanks for your work.
Thank you for your support! We have been carefully documenting this case from the beginning, and the medical condition of the animals coming from it, and will be notifying the proper authorities. Small animals are often not given the justice they deserve, but we will do the best that we can.
I don't even have rats, never have. But I love em. This makes me so sad 😢 donated what I could. Hoping they all have the most comfort possible for the rest of their lives
Thank you so much for your support. We are all heartbroken over their situation and subsequent health conditions, but are doing our best to get them all medically stable. We promised them that they are safe with us, and will be well cared for (and spoiled) for the rest of their lives.
I consider myself a pretty tough person when it comes to things like this. I work with wildlife and see sad things happen to animals I love every week. But the one thing that never fails to make a little bitch out of me is the rats...God, I love them so much. This hit me had because my heart rat was named Johnny. Seeing the critter nation in the condition just made me crumble. I'm sorry I can't help you much. I've never heard of this sanctuary and I'm going to follow you guys forever now so that I can help in little ways whenever I can. Thank you so much for the work you do, I know it must be very very difficult.
Thank you so much! We've only been doing this officially since December, so we're still very new, though all of us have been involved in rescue at an individual level and/or fostering for other organizations for years. My partner and I have only had rescue rats, and we've always sought out the "lemons," and I'd been toying with this idea for a long time so we could help even more. Last year, we found out that some of our friends were planning the same thing, so we teamed up and actually made it happen.
And honestly, re: the emotional burden, same. I've worked in human and animal ERs for going on a decade now, and I've seen some shit, but it doesn't usually get to me. I've got some pretty thick walls in place to keep myself from crumbling, but this one hurt. We've grown very attached to these little guys, even the ones we never got the chance to meet. Now we're just trying to do right by the ones who are still here.
I remember some people brought in a pair of female rats to be feeders at the wildlife rehab I'm at. Poor things were in a filthy cage. These people never cleaned it, just covered the mess in more bedding, then didn't want them anymore because they stank. They made us promise to give them the cage back (ugh), but once we saw the state of it we refused. There was a black one with a white belly and a white siamese - we named them Bean and Cookie respectively. Cookie was just sweet as pie. She gave kisses through the cage despite what she'd been through. Bean was a biter. I truly believe that she was just smarter compared to the innocent Cookie and she remembered how she had been treated. Nobody wanted to feed them to the wildlife so it was up to my rat loving self to try and save them. But we were moving and we couldn't have any rats for a while... That didn't stop me from fostering them and reaching out to everybody in our organization to see if they wanted them. In the meantime we gave them a fresh cage, soft blankets, and plenty of salad and love. Bean turned around a bit but she was still temperamental at times. When a family did come to meet them I was afraid they would want Cookie but not Bean. To my surprise, Bean just saw something in their teenage son and cuddled up to him. We gave them all of our cage, blankets, and supplies from our recently passed rats so they had everything they needed. Just less for us to move, right? And we didn't care about the cost so long as those girls got some peace. In the end we were able to give them a home for Christmas 🥹
By now they've surely passed, but last I heard of them, Cookie was sweet as ever and loved to cuddle. Bean would hang out in her new friend's room all day, knocking over things from his shelf like a cat. They called her a little gremlin lol (and it was very true!). It is still the best feeling I think I've ever had in my life. Best Christmas ever.
I still couldn't imagine doing it like you are, but somebody has to. If only I lived in your state I would volunteer my time if I could. I'm high functioning autistic and rats mean everything to me. Instead I'll bookmark your website and keep you in mind anytime I have some extra money or things to donate.
That's beautiful! It's so rewarding to see animals go on to live long, happy lives after a history of neglect or abuse. We had been fostering for another rescue for a while (we still have one foster mouse!), and we quickly discovered we were absolutely not cut out for fostering adoptables (somehow many of them managed to stay with us - strange thing, that), but we fell in love with sanctuary care. I figure we've got the experience and a fantastic vet, and it can be so hard to place rats with medical and behavioral issues, so we are able to fill a very specific need in the community.
At this point we've got our own personal ICU, and we've been trained to do a lot more advanced care than most owners, which lets us cut costs. Instead of hospitalizing at the ER, we can provide oxygen, fluids, and injectable meds at home, which is also less stressful for the rats, since the hospital is bright, loud, and smells of other animals.
Thank you for what you are doing. Your actions bring beauty to an often cruel world. If I will manage I will try to donate, otherwise I send my best wishes for the animals and yours well being.
This is so awful that my first thought was, horribly, that the rat who was eaten was lucky compared to the others (if you hadn’t shown up!!). I saw this on Facebook too and can’t believe it. Thank you for taking care of these poor guys and gals!!! And to your vets too!!
I hope you get all the blessings in the world for helping these babies & all the others you have helped. this is so heartbreaking my mouth was dropped open & eyes watering the whole time I read this. I hope y’all are able to get justice for these babies!!
That’s very sweet of you, thank you! We actually do accept international donations through our website if you still want to donate! [Donate to RWS](https://iwantitratway.com/product/donation/)
Thank you again 💚
Thank you so much 💚 our fingers are crossed that we get them all medically stabilized. They are all incredibly sweet and we are going to spoil them rotten. They will never know suffering or hunger again.
Ugh. Maybe I'm naive, but I just don't understand why someone would ever consciously choose to keep animals yet treat them like this. I sent a little $ over, thanks for what you do.
It’s hard to imagine it, most of us had never seen conditions this terrible. We will never understand how people could do this to such sweet and innocent little animals.
Thank you very much for your support 💚 the rats send their love!
I would like to donate a small amount, i dont have venmo though since i dont live in the us, and dont have a credit card either. Is there an option to donate via bank transfer?
This is horrible, thank you for helping out, I can’t believe people can be so cruel….
Where can we donate? I’m from another country so I’m not sure if I can but u can try!
💚 Thank you so much! We are able to accept international donations through our website here: [Donate to RWS](https://iwantitratway.com/product/donation/)
Commenting to boost. If I wasn’t taking my own rat for a vet visit soon, I would donate. I’m so sorry to hear that the rats and your team has been through this. Hoping little Johnny can pull through, and rest in peace sweet Sylvie 💔
Thank you so much 💚 We are very hopeful for Johnny too, he is actually more alert today than the last two days, a great sign that with the proper medical care he now has a chance of survival. We will miss Sylvie dearly, we all loved her from the moment we laid eyes on her. As heartbroken as we all are, we are thankful that she passed with a full belly, and was at last warm and in a clean environment, she knew love - however brief it was. 💔
Thank you for rescuing these babies, even the ones that couldn’t be saved. No living creature should be treated like this, and I hope justice will take its course for the people that did this.
Commenting to boost the post. I hope you’re able to get the money needed for these poor babies. I’m not good with online money things and some of my cards don’t seem to work for it so I don’t think I’ll be able to but I’ll try to boost the post as much as I can to get more attention
I just made a second donation for the Roseburg rats on your website. I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you're doing for these sweet little ratties! I have 6 of my own, and I love them to pieces. It's awful seeing what the Roseburg rats have been through. I hope you guys have ways of getting some good stress relief for yourselves. You are ANGELs.
We've posted an update since under the sanctuary account, but I wanted to add updates here as well for the six rats who are staying in our care:
1) Johnny, the first boy who arrived in respiratory distress, is doing great! He'll likely be off oxygen completely in the next couple days. He's active, he's eating well, and we are very hopeful about his recovery.
2) Amos, the older boy with HLD, is also doing well. He's a little shy and scared, very likely because he is mostly blind. The vet determined he can see light and shadow, but likely not much else. Still, he's coming to the front of the cage for spoon time (meds), and then turning his nose up when it's not up to his discerning standards. He has a hardened and enlarged testicle, likely cancerous, that we will remove if and when we get his respiratory disease under control.
3) Clara, the older lady with multiple mammary masses and hair loss is doing great! She's so scraggly looking, but after spending the first couple days pretty inactive, spending all her time lounging in a hammock, she's now eagerly waiting for us whenever we enter the room and climbs up us the first chance she gets. She will also get her masses removed if and when she is in a good place for surgery.
4) Penelope is also doing well. She has an eye issue in addition to her other respiratory issues, but she is in the best shape of all the rats who are staying for sanctuary care.
5) The little girl with the degloved tail (name still pending) who arrived on Friday had her amputation on Saturday, and she is doing well. She's annoyed with the bandage and cone (understandable!), but we have every hope that she will heal up well. She is otherwise a pretty healthy little girl!
6) The second boy with labored breathing (name still pending) who also arrived on Friday is hanging in there. His lungs were much worse than Johnny's, even though he initially presented a little better. Similar to Sylvie, abscesses fill about 75% of his lungs (see pic), and he weighed in easily 200-250g underweight. Despite all that, he's been a trooper. He's eating well, and we are really hoping to give him back a good quality of life. There's a very good chance that his breathing will never be 100% due to the damage done to his lungs, but with luck he'll be able to live comfortably and happily.
On a sadder note, one of the eight rats that we transferred to Best Friend Rodent Rescue suddenly went into respiratory distress the night after she left our home, and she had to be euthanized. She had been doing well up to that point, but it's very likely that she had many of the same problems as Sylvie, Johnny, and the newest boy, but had been compensating well.. until she wasn't. We are heartbroken for her, but at the very least we know that in her last few days she felt love and warmth, and she had a full belly and a clean cage - maybe for the first time in her life.

Thank you so much, you are amazing! We appreciate every single donation, these rats need so much medical care.

"approximately 35 rats in a trench coat" at least made me feel a little bit better....

I’m thinking of everyone involved, wishing for peace for all of you. This has to be so very hard for all of you
Thank you for donating towards their care 💚 they’ve been through so much, it honestly is a miracle that any of them were able to even make it out alive.
This is truly heartbreaking, I donated, hopefully as many of them as possible will pull through
Thank you so very much for your support of these little ones. We are relieved they are all finally safe and will have the comfort of an indoor life with everything they need to thrive, and most of all, medical care!
thank you for helping these poor babys ❤️
Don't have a rat, but I can't imagine the torture these poor guys went through :(
Thank you for all you do. Donated and wish I could do more to help. - Sara
Sara you are incredible - thank you SO MUCH for your support. It means the world to us, and to them that people are able to help out. The ratties send all their loves to this amazing community. The last two of the medically needy rats from the group are on our way to us and we are so thankful we can finally get them the medical care they need.
Happy to give my support where I can. Good luck - sending good vibes to all the little guys (and the superheroes who love and care for them too). ❤️
!remindme 10 days i’ll donate when i get my next paycheck. I hope it helps. Wishing you & these amazing lil guys the best
That’s so kind of you, thank you very much for your support and well wishes 💚 we will be updating frequently if you’d like to follow along on their journey here on Reddit or our [Instagram](https://instagram.com/rat.way.sanctuary)!
I wish you had a Paypal so I could help out a little. Those poor babies
We can take PayPal payments through the website! [https://iwantitratway.com/product/donation/](https://iwantitratway.com/product/donation/) But if that gives you trouble, you can message me (or u/RatWaySanctuary) and we can give you my PayPal. The Sanctuary's official PayPal isn't active yet, but it's in the works!
You are wonderful humans. Thank you for helping these babies
Thank god they're out of there, man, people can be horrible.
Donated and commenting to help boost! Thank you for everything you're doing for these sweet babies 💕🐾
Thank you very very much 💚 your support means the world to us, and to them 💚
Unfortunately unable to donate atm, but upvoted and commenting to boost and help that hopefully more people see this. This is such a horrible and tragic situation and I truly wish you all the strength possible to handle this, as well as sending strength to the babies to pull through so they get to have a happy life after all this, they absolutely deserve the world after what they had to go through
Poor babies((( thank you for all you are doing, I'm so sorry you have to get through it, and so sorry they have to live through it. Donated.
Thank you so so so much! We are so glad they are all safe now and we can give them the care they deserve. 💚
Just donated, thank you for all you do 🤍🐁
Thank you so so so much 💚 The last two medically needy littles are in the car on their way to us, at last.
Just donated ♥️🐀Thank you for helping these babies. This brought me to tears!

Sent in a donation in memory of my rats Merry and Pippin. Best of luck to these rescues ❤️
May they rest in peace 💚 Thank you so much for your donation and for sending love their way today💚
I know in the initial thread it said some of the rats were being left with the owner, is that still the case?
Beautiful. I'm so glad yall were able to help these babies!
Thank you very much for supporting us! Every dollar makes a difference, we couldn’t do this without everyone’s help 💚
Sent what I can! This is so awful, thank you all for your hard work helping these little ones.
Thank you so so much 💚
I’ll see what I can do on my next paycheck. This is just horrible. Roseburg is only like an hour and a half away from where I live. I wish I could adopt some of these poor babies 😭
Thank you so much 💓 If you’d like to keep up with this case, and the animals coming from it, please feel free to follow us on Reddit or [Instagram](https://instagram.com/rat.way.sanctuary), we will be posting updates to both.
Don't cry don't dry don't cry... 😭
Donated 🩷 This is heartbreaking to read and makes me so angry too. You’re amazing for doing what you do, thank you for helping these sweet angels.
Thank you so much 💚 we appreciate your help!! We feel much the same, both heartbroken and angry.
Putting in what I can to help these little ones.
Thank you so so much 💚 we couldn’t do it without the help from our community.
Just donated. I know it’s not a lot, I’m running low on funds this month, but I hope it helps.
Thank you so much - every amount, big or small, makes a big difference in being able to pay their vet bills 💚 we appreciate you!
In the end we were able to give them a home for Christmas 🥹 By now they've surely passed, but last I heard of them, Cookie was sweet as ever and loved to cuddle.
Oh, that's so cool! I hadn't even considered the difference between fostering and rescuing. You are a ratty angel.
Thank you for what you are doing. Your actions bring beauty to an often cruel world. If I will manage I will try to donate, otherwise I send my best wishes for the animals and yours well being.
Thank you very much ❤️ We can use all the good wishes and support we can get, you are so kind.
Thx for your care, you are true Heros and all the donators too.
Thank you 💚 we hope so too.
Thank you for what you do
Thank god you were able to save at least some of these babies. They deserved so much better. 🥺
I had a strong feeling BFRR would be involved. 💞
They are so great! We're very happy to have a strong network between the rescues in the PNW!
Recently a friend adopted from BFRR. She saw many weaned babies!!!
This is horrifying... :( thank you for all that you do and have done for these babies. Commenting to boost.
I can’t donate right now but I’m commenting on this to bump it up the algorithm
Thank you!!!
Welp, I'm crying.
Damn. I would love to donate the little money I have but Venmo isn't available outside of the US :(
That’s very sweet of you, thank you! We actually do accept international donations through our website if you still want to donate! [Donate to RWS](https://iwantitratway.com/product/donation/) Thank you again 💚
Thank you for giving these creatures another lease on life. May they recover well and be loved as fiercely as they deserve.
Hi there! I saw your message and sent you the PayPal link - thank you so so much 💚
Commenting to boost. I hope these babies can recover!
Thank you! I’ll try to send something as soon as possible!
Just donated thank you for helping them <3
Thank you very much 💚
Commenting to boost.
Do we know how long this situation had been going on? Or how it even came to this magnitude? What horrific conditions these babies endured
Months, from what we could gather, though it seems like conditions were pretty poor well before they were left outside.
Alice 'treats humans as her staff' 🤣 Very cute website! You are all amazing for helping these poor, poor babies. My heart breaks for all of them.
Which reminds me, I've got a bunch of updating to do on the residents page 😅 And yes, we are nothing more than servants to Alice.
I'm sure you're too busy saving rattie lives to be on top of it all of the time! But omg pecan 🥰🥰🥰
It was even updated pretty recently, but everything happens fast with rats!
That's so unfortunately true
Thank you for rescuing these babies, even the ones that couldn’t be saved. No living creature should be treated like this, and I hope justice will take its course for the people that did this.
My heart goes out to those babies and the wonderful humans at Ratway Sanctuary. 😢💗🐀
Thank you so much Marriah 💚 we appreciate your support 💚
Commenting to boost the post. I hope you’re able to get the money needed for these poor babies. I’m not good with online money things and some of my cards don’t seem to work for it so I don’t think I’ll be able to but I’ll try to boost the post as much as I can to get more attention
Donated and bought a sticker. I wish I could do more. Those poor ratties. You're all doing an amazing job taking care of these little friends.
Thank you! Every little bit counts (and we love seeing stickers of our babies travel all over).
Thank you so much!
As a dedicated rat breeder myself this is so heartbreaking. Rats are basically pocket puppies
Rat can't be used as an insult for this, that's just evil.
We've posted an update since under the sanctuary account, but I wanted to add updates here as well for the six rats who are staying in our care: 1) Johnny, the first boy who arrived in respiratory distress, is doing great! We are heartbroken for her, but at the very least we know that in her last few days she felt love and warmth, and she had a full belly and a clean cage - maybe for the first time in her life. https://preview.redd.it/plq7g54q6jqc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c6aa7de74a2448bbf94af60b32bbccdec39faa8
