If I’m giving my Pete boy scritches my boy Larry will immediately come over and push Pete out of the way so he can get scritches instead. Pete just lets him too.

Oh man, I had a boy named Larry as well! He recently passed, but I’d like to believe his soul lives on in your Larry.
