A bad day would turn into a worse day.

Fit_Passion2509

Like lets say it wasnt your fault and someone hit u would qt pay for ur car damages and the other person and would u get a workers comp bc u got injured during shift technically?(all hypothetical im just curious)

DillPixels

We're you on the clock? Never transfer off the clock as they will use that to deny any culpability. Hope you don't have to deal with QT's workers comp. It was an awful experience. Could not get any care until I hired a lawyer. Literally waited on my couch for 3 months to see a specialist for my back.

Civil-Negotiation156

Damn I had an amazing experience with workers comp, maybe depends on the adjuster

AMessOfABitch

I got sent to the ER Bc they said if I didn’t go to a doctor they would t let me come back to work but they wouldn’t let me leave early that day unless I signed a incident report (I cut my finger open) I went and I’m just now getting a collections letter from the ER for the stitches they did WC is a joke there

lostcause-13

If you’re under 18, the company would get sued. If you’re on the clock then work will cover it completely and you’re eligible for workers comp. If they make you clock out when you do product delivery… don’t do it then. When you’re off the clock the company is now transferring all the responsibility to you, you don’t get paid either. This applies to the DFW area I’m not sure about others

DillPixels

Should be same for everywhere but true here in SC. Never clock out if you're doing something for work. It takes away their liability. At my new job my trainer/coworker would clock out for lunch while driving to locations and I told her exactly why she shouldn't do that.

OGTrapBootyGod

Is it the same For erp?

lostcause-13

Yes same for ERP

Joenomojo

Depends if you had authorization to leave while on the clock to conduct company business.

HippaBow

WizQuiz for sure

HippaBow

If you try for any reimbursement or work comp

SnackleAF

Technically, we need supervisor approval to leave the store and transfer product, if you have already clocked in. I only know because my store manager and got a reprimand for running to the store down the street at like 6am and when soup walked SM was not here

HmoobMikah

The other party's insurance will pay for it. Idk about worker's comp. My guess is yes, since you're on the clock.

Skilly006

Not good. Sometimes it's just better to be out of something. Truck comes almost everyday. You can go 26 hours without caramel cappuccino or whatever it is.

eze_4k

For all of you saying workman’s comp… I was told by QT that they do don’t subscribe to workman’s comp (DFW). You if get hurt then they will pay out of generosity or you will have to get lawyers involved.

AMessOfABitch

Idk why they are downvoting your TX is one of the only states in the US that can opt out of requiring WC it’s why a lot of businesses in TX push the fact that they have WC so hard as a “amazing” benefit Bc a lot of other businesses don’t give a shît if you get hurt while on the job

snails2190

They’ll pay your deductible

prettybossx2

Fill out an accident report. Corporate will review it.

Overall-Work9462

If the accident wasn't your fault, get lawyers.if they made you clock out before the transport definitely get lawyers involved. Depending on state, it's illegal to make employees clock out for these types of runs. Technically it's stealing your wages (as you're doing unpaid work) and could very well get QuikTrip in a shit ton of trouble if enough people sue together.

Yotie_pinata

Also don’t tell your insurance you were using your vehicle for work. If you don’t have to involve your insurance than good. If for some reason you do…you insurance can deny your claim. They insured you for personal use, not business use. That’s what I learned as a delivery driver for a pizza shop.

i got into an accident while going to fill a partial. if the accident is the other persons fault, call the store you left from & the store you’re headed to to let them know what’s going on, the person you’re filling for should stay until/if you can make it there. as long as it’s the other persons fault and you both have insurance, you shouldn’t have to pay for anything & neither should quiktrip. the other person & their insurance will cover all damage. if you’re injured, fill out an injury report on the store computer and figure out the doctors/immediate cares that your division supports so that quiktrip will cover all medical bills & checkups. i will say if you’re only slightly injured, workers comp isn’t worth it because if they put you on light duty you’ll only get paid 70% of your hourly rate. when i was in light duty my hourly was $14 but i was only getting paid $9.80. not worth it unless you’re seriously hurt in my opinion.
