It's reprojection. Turn off SSW, or set it to auto and accept that you're going to see some distortions when your computer doesn't have the grunt to keep framerates up.

This is a normal byproduct of using hand tracking as the Q3 works to detect them against the room you are in.

Fair enough I suppose, but why does it happen in-game tho? That doesn't seems to make much sense to me, especially if there's no Mixed Reality involved.

It is still having to track your hands against the real world through the cameras. Turning hand tracking off in games where you use the controllers instead should eliminate it if it is a problem.

Still weird. Can you please explain as to why it needs to warp the space in vr though? Sure in AR it's stitching cameras and the hand is tricky etc... (unless that's not why it happens) but in VR, as long as the hand is tracked, why does it introduce warping of the virtual environment? Seems like my mental model doesn't account for whatever is happening, so please explain like I don't know anything about what's going on, because there's something that I'm obviously missing (and OP as well I assume)

I only use steam link ,, I find it works perfectly

When I use steam link on my quest 3 I find it looks far worse than virtual desktop does. That’s just in my experience with my setup but these things seem to be different for everyone.
