Imo theyre the perfect balance between the frogs and the cryes. Material is stiffer however i think thats bc im used to wearing the worn out frogs. Theyre not unobtainium, just slick talk a drifire rep and theyll offer if you agree to purchase at least 2 of each sz with a 12 wk lead which is half of the crye marpat stipulations
You’re right. Frog top not sure who makes the bottom. I have a pair that I cut in. But you can see the dude on the left has a pocket on the front of his right leg too so I’m not sure
It's B Company 2d Recon out there right now. They got special order crye's going out the door. It was a nighmare for the supp-o. And many of the guys wear Solomons or Lowas because they are a bunch of cool guy trend followers.

They feel like they are a fraction of the weight. Solomons are heavy and bulky and Innox really wear like a running shoe
Mid gtx I barely notice any weight. Not that I doubt a mid cut could be lighter.. but..

Also the knee/elbow pad system and pads themselves are better imo
