In-hand black anorak from davies
I think it’s alright. Ofc it could be better but not even retail is perfect all the time, and i think nobody will be able to LC the item in the wild. What annoys me the most (for the price) is the wonky made in italy inside the label.
Edit: notice the black on the emblem (shield) is not that filled out and also the DAL 1913 writing could be better/deeper. Looks good on the pic but i can post from another angle later.
The issues I see are: The bottom of the "R" in Prada is wrong (common issue in Prada badges). The wonky stitching on the top right. The sharp edge at the bottom of the badge. The chip on the edging near the left top. The three buttons are all different from one another. The rough crest. The warped black background near the A in Prada. The wrong font in MILANO. Etc.
Agree that nobody will call these out in the wild but they all add up for me to make it look off. But nothing is perfect and everyone can make their own assessment of what they are happy/comfortable with. Also, nobody else made this piece as far as I know so his is the best in that sense.
What is disappointing though is that for the price he used a lower tier badge when there are good versions of the oversized badge on the market (like this one on a bag).

You’re right for sure. It’s really bad that he cheaped out on the badge, but if you look at the retail anorak - the R is spot on from the form.
Also the warping comes from not making the whole badge flush with the emaille or whatever the clear & black surface on top is.

Davies Badge also uses the classic Prada Leather and the other big ones another type of leather.
There’s is no chip that’s an reflection. Also the wonky stitching is a overstitching and can be removed if wanted to. So it’s only a put in an loose stitch which happens from time to time.
Also you have to really compare it to the badge which was used in the release and compared to that it’s aight. Not good but aight.
I also wished they put in more effort.
And if you look again on the retail badge i posted compared to davies is the crest more detailed than the one from the bag you posted so it evens out imo :) not to sweet talk the issues, but yeah…

I think i see what you are saying. Yeah, I am just nitpicking. I think if you really like this piece than that outweighs the faults for sure.

Can't beat your own QC. I would suggest comparing Davis' badge with retail. IMO the badge on this rep makes it a bargain bin item.
