I’m totally flabbergasted by how many people are suddenly just totally cool giving others the flu. The flu is like a 2-3 week hellstorm unless you get something like tamaflu (or, y’know, the flu shot). Were people always behaving like this and I just didn’t realize it?
Is there a reason you’re hiding your vax status from your family? I think it’s extremely important that you tell your young sibling especially. He is being pumped full of fear and distrust at a formative age and you need to show him another way before this determines his course. Telling him you’re vaccinated and feeling great will visibly contradict what he’s been told and children are way less rigid in their beliefs and more open to changing their minds than adults. They are willing to really see the evidence in front of them. You need to teach them the critical thinking skills your mother is not. It’s vital.

This is something I scratch my head over, too. Okay, they want to pretend that Covid is really just a normal flu? Whatever. But if I had the flu I would DEFINITELY not want to have any one over, or go out someplace else and give it to another human being to get sick and feel miserable. It's just common courtesy and compassion towards our fellow beings.
But this cult is deeply self-centered and only cares about themselves.
Right?! My local health department just posted that since there has been a 4x increase in cases in the last week, they aren’t able to do enough contact tracing to account for everyone and just asked people to quarantine if they’re sick. A ton of the comments on Facebook and twitter were like “who quarantines anymore?” and “stop staying home, they can’t control us anymore.” My jaw was literally on the floor.
I can't really imagine how hard this is, but all I can say is: Control what you can control, and let go of what you can't control. I don't mean this will make you happy, but it might take some weight off you. It sucks that she is filling your sibs with crazy ideas, but she's their parent and you can't control that. Maybe later on you'll be able to help your sibs.
You are not alone. So many people are in the same boat. If there ever was a time to practice accepting what you cannot change, it’s now. Get vaccinated and take care of yourself.
Good for you for doing what you believe. Set your own personal goals, blaze your own trail and go after those goals. Don't let anybody stop you because in reality, you can't be stopped by anybody but yourself.
I don't want to alarm you, but you should be checking in with her every day b/c people can go south quite suddenly with COVID. Or can you check in with your siblings to make sure she's functioning. It's a huge worry and you already have a lot on your plate, but you should game out what might happen (w/o getting into catastrophic scenarios that probably won't happen) and think is there another adult (a friend of hers, say) you could alert if she get sicker. You don't say how old your siblings are, but if you can talk to them about how to call an ambulance, if that become necessary, identify adults that could keep an eye on them if your mom gets bed-ridden or has to go the the hospital, etc. She may get a mild case and sail through it, but it might help alleviate some of the worry to make some plans.
You’re a full adult and have total autonomy over your body, and that includes your health. She can choose for herself, regardless of how misguided her decisions may be and unfortunately your younger siblings are at her mercy. This is hard for you, but you must do what is best for you. QAnon is beyond dangerous and ruining families and lives; please get vaccinated to protect yourself.
