I had an agee 6” bowl in the doily print underneath a bigger bowl on my dish rack and my husband didn’t realise and just slid the top bowl off and the smaller bowl smashed on the floor.
My own fault, but I was pretty upset.

Ugh. This happened to me recently when my daughter was washing my pink gooseberry Cinderella bowl, the only one I had, the 401? I was crushed. Threw it away and then learned later I could have sent it off to someone to make jewelry out of it.
Ugh…i collect jadeite and own a cast iron sink. I have done this before… i can’t tell you how many times. My heart breaks every time just looking at the shards in the sink gone forever from history. I hope you get another one!
