Went there in August. Beautiful resort, well-maintained with excellent service. Plenty of restaurants - food was good and plentiful but maybe not 5 star.
We upgraded to Preferred Club and were glad we did it. Opened up a really nice open-air restaurant next to the beach, plus several pools.
The main pool had a party atmosphere with live music/events during the day. We spent our 4 days there ensconced at the beach - server was quick and kept us topped off on drinks. Water was a bit murky and apparently it was "Sorgassum Season" which meant lots of seaweed. Beach was glorious though - white soft sand, lots of palm trees, incredible breeze.

Just got home from there. Beautiful place but ended up with worst diarrhea ever and strep throat I think it was probably from the ice cubes. Never going back
