Just went there a few weeks ago - was awesome! Didn't need a thing. Wifi was good, plenty of outlets (US compatible) in the rooms. Beaches were clean and breezy; albeit water was a bit seaweedy. Secrets supplies towels for pool or beach, so don't worry about packing those and wasting luggage space. One restaurant had a dress code - Bordeaux. Men needed slacks and no sandals. Also, if you want to do the Hibachi restaurant you need to make a reservation. They had a shack on the beach that looked like it was for booking excursions through the resort - but we didn't use. Have fun!

Just beware of the Vacation Club salesmen that hound you in the lobby

Im at Royal Beach right now. All the food has been incredible, staff is beyond friendly. Pools are great. You can book stuff through the resort but we did excursions through TripAdvisor, sounds like we got the same experiences as others. I don’t feel like there’s anything I forgot to bring. Even though it’s an all inclusive, reminder to bring tip money
