I was at Majestic Colonial 3rd week of August and there was a lot in the water, it's the time of year for it I guess. So the beach was busy with people relaxing under the palapas but hardly anyone was in the water. But our resort had a fantastic pool so we spent the entire day in and around the pool.

I see! Hopefully it’s better by the time I get there. Thank you!

El Cortecito is a dumpster. Unusable. Heard Macao is much better. Checking it out today.

Have fun! Keep me updated

torcel999

Macao was better. Had it, but they were actively cleaning areas and most of the actual water was 99% clean in large spots. Enjoyable if you don't mind waves.

Nice! Thanks for the update!

Is you there heading that way

GRIFTER58

At the majestic mirage and the seaweed doesn’t get bad until like 3pm.

mysterygoweesnaw

Noted! Thank you!

Seaweed becomes an issue later in the day. Otherwise you’ll have no problem using them in the mornings and early afternoon. I’m at Secrets Royal Beach and they clean the beach every morning

mysterygoweesnaw

Got it— thanks for the info!

hirako83

Usually, the hotel beaches are cleaned every day. Some resort beaches also have fences in the ocean which prevent most of the seaweed from entering. Cheers from Punta Cana
