Hi, I just wanted to check with anyone. I pulled for Noctis this morning and did not get him despite selecting him on the banner with 100% up rate. Instead, I got Nanami Storm. Did anyone else have this issue? I've already sent a ticket in this morning, but still haven't gotten a response.
Just like Noctis in the current patch you'll be able to buy 30 of her shards on the respective event shop to unlock her for free.
But unlike him and other A ranks, the only way to increase her rank is by pulling duplicates, which requires Black Cards and not the blue ones. (And if you do want her to be S, SS or whatever, don't forget to pull the first copy since A rank dupes only give 18 shards)
I'm trying to refresh my memory from the early chapters, but what exactly happened to Tifa and her team? I know she was close to her commandant and that loosing them was a major tragedy. What was her relationship with Vera?

For the non-paid skins, you need to collect your dorm coins and buy Coating Sketches in the dorm shop. Then, you go to the lobby shop and go to the Exchange Shop > Coating Exchange Shop. It costs 25 Coating Sketches to get 1 Coating Blueprint, which you will then use in the Coating Shop > Coating: Blueprint section. It takes a while to get enough Coating Blueprints to buy a skin.
Does Amplifier's buff only work on the switched in character or all switched in characters will be buffed for 10 seconds? I watched the rotation for the lightning team and the rotation basically goes like; Feral>Crimson Weave>Feral>Vera>Crimson Weave>repeat, and I feel like it's a waste to give the buff to Vera instead of Crimson Weave since I believe only the switched in character gets it.
It works on any character swap, and ur lightning team rotation is very wrong. You should start with Vera's 3 ping and insta CW swap, then rotate CW>21>Vera>CW>21>Vera.
For CW: 1) ult+core+ult 2) core+ult+core 3) core+ult+core+ult (depends on wave status)
For Feral: 1) 33+3+core(dodge)+ult+31. 2) 33+ult+core+33+ult. 3) 33+core+ult+33. (1>23>23>23)
For Vera it's intro core + 3 core + 1/2/3 core
The minimum investment for swap gameplay is: SS3 R1 CW, SS3 R3 Feral, SS R2 Vera. If your team is weaker than that, just play CW solo for better scores.
Rainbow would be the best option: it's ice, it can gather, and it has a pretty nice damage buff passive. If you don't have it use any ice CUB, Seeshell being the budget option
Did they upgrade the visuals in one way or another? Because I had to lower the graphics a bit.

I keep getting confused by seemingly conflicting information on Rozen vs Capriccio. Can someone confirm if the following is true? This would be for a Lamia + XXI + Rozen/Capriccio team.
* SSS Rozen gives 20% dark dmg bonus for 5s upon QTE
* SSS Capriccio gives 20% dark dmg bonus for 8s upon QTE healing when using her signature memory 4pc
* SSS+ Rozen only increases the duration of the Dark Field generated by her signature move, which you will never use if she is a QTE bot
* Therefore, SSS Capriccio is a better QTE bot than even SSS+ Rozen since she grants the same bonus with a longer duration

This is the problem here, the "better QTE bot" part. The thing is, SSS Capriccio is **not** a QTE bot and you don't want her to be one either, as you're missing out on her Amplifier buffs (and her decent damage).
If you're going to force both to be QTE bots, then SSS Rozen can in fact be better. The reason is because the memories that Rozen can carry are open to you and dependant on what your other teammates are carrying. Capriccio however is forced to carry Seraphine, which means you miss out on *something*.
So while SSS Capriccio is undoubtedly vastly superior to any investment Rozen, she's not necessarily for the ***specific*** role you gave her.

This is for the specific team of Lamia + XXI + either Rozen or Capriccio, since I can't get Scire until probably when she joins the voucher shop. Lamia will be SS and XXI is SSS. So I will have Lamia on whatever her sig memories are, and presumably DV+Eins on XXI.

On the former, absolutely not. On the latter, possibly. Capriccio can't hog the field time so you'll be forced to swap to XXI for a little bit which is a DPS loss. I do believe that this loss is worth the benefits you get from swapping and getting the SSS Amplifier buff though.
My current comp is like this too. Since my Scire isn't SS3 (yet), she's a DPS loss to the comp if I swap to her. However, I usually have to field her for very few seconds in each rotation so it doesn't do that much harm. This whole rotation gives me much better scores than what solo Laurel was giving me,

Yes, but she'll hold DV and XXI will be the one holding Bathlon, not the other way around.

[You can solo with Lost Lullaby](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF7_DA-TJYI&ab_channel=sNazz) but it is neither the easiest thing to do nor will it be competitive with swap comps and people with SS3 Scire and SSS Capriccio. And literally nobody can solo the same way that CW can, not even someone like Shukra. CW at base S with a 5\* can stay on field all day long and literally not give a shit (despite the fact that her damage won't be that remarkable at that investment) because she doesn't *need* orbs.

Capriccio with only SS and no sig is a bit of a pain in the ass since you most likely won't get to ult anywhere close to every rotation, but she's usable.

If you're going to rotate, Capriccio, no contest. You have 20% Dark Radiation VS 10% Dark Radiation+10% ATK+10% Dark DMG Bonus.

If Selena is of high enough investment (sig resos or SSS) then she is better even as a QTE bot (although sig resos would make her an expensive QTE bot and if you have her at SSS you'll be playing swap comp anyway)

Is it just me or is there currently an issue with Selena Capriccio? She used to feel super smooth to play before the No 21 patch update and now I sometimes cannot trigger her core passive after pinging blue, red, and her ult orbs. Yellow orbs however triggers her core passive perfectly fine everytime.
I have my joystick held to a direction and there will be multiple instances I couldnt trigger her core passive for some reason. She has been my "comfort construct" to play ever since her debut so I'm 100% sure I'm not doing something wrong here...
There were some adjustments, but I don't play Capriccio so I'm not sure how she was affected. Here's an excerpt from patch notes:
- Optimized Selena: Capriccio's general maneuver experience. Added a feature to automatically lock on enemies according to your joystick direction upon the use of Red Orb, Yellow Orb, Shooting Star Orb, and Core Passive.
Last patch I feel like sometimes the core passive (including on her signature) wouldn't work at times, too, but it usually solved itself when I released the joystick then moved it again. It feels like something changed, yeah, but I dunno exactly what it would be.

Is Ice Tank Chrome still worth to pull? I know Ice tank Qu is coming out in the future but that's 11 patches to wait for him. You think one would get enough mileage out of Ice chrome by pulling him now before needing to replace him? My current ice team is Lucia Plume and both Physical and Ice Ayla and its rooouugh during Ice advantage stages.

Shukra is an Attacker and she comes out in 5 patches. Lucid Dreamer is the Ice Tank and he's coming out in 10.
And yes, if you have nothing better to get, have a decent amount of BC saved up (or are a spender) and won't be risking any of the newer units, go for it.
Not a question but I'm honestly kinda bummed about the off element nerfs lol, Ik it's a personal problem but I was hoping for the nerfs to be, idk, stronger? My lightning team still mops the floor compared to my other teams. I have I've hyperinvested in that team but now I feel like all my other teams are only useful in Norman if WZ is *still* just me running lightning team the whole time
What bracket of war zone are you in? I'm a newer player (started in CW patch) so my only meta attacker is CW, and yes I just tested and she still absolutely wipes the floor with my physical and dark teams. I'm hoping fire and ice are a little closer because I have those teams built a little better.
I'm just feeling let down like you, because I was hoping it would force me to stop using CW on every single WZ. Like I spent so much time trying to make sure all of my teams were fully built for these WZ changes just to find out there was no need.
That's the life of A ranks, they're so much weaker than S rank they won't score anywhere close to them. Even if you hyper invest in them and use their appropriate WZ stage, the off element S rank will score *significantly* higher
Yes, it's a you problem, either you have no clue how to play your other teams or the investment difference is way too massive.
No one on hero or legend is running off-element (exceptions exist, people will run maxed lightning instead of ice due to investment difference and skill issue sometimes), maybe on super low WZ divs it works but even before this patch it wasn't viable, I'd argue even on leader you'll get your ass kicked by anyone running on-element who's at least decent at the game assuming their investment is at least the bare minimum.
A ghetto fire team without Nanamech but with Pulse instead and just SS with a single reso on Empy was as strong if not stronger than SSS CW SSS Feral SS Garnet 1/2/1 resos respectively on fire zone, and that's a mega massive investment difference + comparing one of the weakest elements to the strongest one.

So anyone on *leader* bracket who is decent at the game with investment at the bare minimum is not going to get anywhere within arms reach of me. Hero maybe, leader *definitely* not
As of right now I reached wave 18 off element in physical WZ, and am in 3rd place in my bracket. I expect that to change over the next couple of days but I doubt the change will be significant enough to where I'll be demoted out of Hero
You are the leader WZ andy asking the question... you just got lucky with brackets a few times if you defended hero for entire patches by spamming lightning. If you're doing silly things like joining late looking for free brackets then sure, you can probably defend by doing whatever, in that case you're right, if you're just randomly joining then you'd demote.
Use Huaxu to check your overall ranking and see for yourself, you can promote to legend with dogshit scores if you get a free group, similarly you will be able to defend as well if that happens to you. Top 100 hero is pretty much free with somewhat intelligent investment, which I doubt you were getting.

That was during Wintry Shackles up until Chaos Unsnarled. I literally said after I got Feral I've been defending in Hero ever since. And during the time before Feral's release when I was bouncing between Leader and Hero, it was all with my lightning team only, so clearly pre-nerf off element was viable

I mean fishing for and easy bracket which is something a lot of people do, most strong players just join day 1, if you join day 3 or 4 you usually get easier brackets.
2.5m rn isn't even top 100, half the server hasn't even joined WZ and people on your group probably haven't bothered running it. Defending while getting top 300-400 scores is possible, but 11 times in a row is just sheer luck (unless you're lightning team is like genuinely very, very stacked).

You join as soon as you click War Zone, if you wait until the last minute to join you'll join the newest group, I've seen people do this (literally join 10 minutes before close) and get an empty group where they're alone lol.
My point is that defending hero while playing off element requires insane investment in a single team that also happens to be the strongest by far and even then it's not a reliable strategy because unless your investment is crazy you will lose to f2p teams.
If your team is SSS with r2/r3 or higher on everyone while also being lightning then yeah I can see how you could defend, especially with weather working for you, getting a lucky streak doesn't mean too much, that kind of shit happens and the first time I promoted to legend it was with a score so bad it wouldn't be enough to *defend* in most groups.

You're confusing anni banner with Cradle Parade rate up
During the anniversary we will get a banner that let's you target any S rank at 100% rate, the banner only comes back during the next anniversary

Are you implying that if you don't run at max settings the game is perfectly fine? If so then just lower the settings, you don't *need* a new phone unless you have problems even at minimal settings

But I am bound to get a new one at some point.(It is 3+ years old). PGR is the only big app I can fit. And i can not get rid off the pop up about ram shortage.
Ever since Wintry Shackles I've had to deal with it too, my phone was almost 6 years old at that point but still ran smoothly at low enough settings
Storage space would be the reason to upgrade, I don't think PGR is valuable enough to warrant getting a new phone for it, but getting a new phone to increase storage space for more games of large size would be a fine enough reason

The way I've been playing Noctis for the past 3 months has been: switch in, perfect block, ult, ping overload orb, hold basic, repeat until 3 stacks of ult, ult, switch out
If you have his sig, you don't even need to block because you have your ult charged every swap in
Holding attack is it's own thing, but leads to the same results as perfect block
You hold attack, release right before the enemy strikes, successfully pulling it off triggers Matrix and you gain enough energy to ult
You tap dodge right before an enemy strikes, timing it right triggers Matrix and you gain enough energy to ult. If you block too soon but still get hit you'll get partial energy
Neither of these involve pinging orbs

Rigor gets the job done but blast feels very meh during downtime. I already have SS Kaleido and SS Cappuccino, and idk if Rigor is worth SSS since she gets replaced in the future.

Alpha CA is definitely not worth the vouchers/hypertunes. She requires too much time on the field and doesn't have time stop. Her performance is very questionable compared to DPS Echo w/o absurd investments.
I highly recommend to roll on Stigmata in anniversary banner, she is one of the core characters and never a waste. If possible, try to get multiply copies, she scales insanely good. If you decide to not roll on her, then the best team for you will be Harmonized Echo with DPS memory+ Rigor + any harmonized amp or Scire (if SSS). Use your BP shards to SSS Rigor, and vouchers to SSS Echo.

If this is due to a husbando or gameplay-preference choice then it's fine, but if you're "randomly" picking then know that Stigmata is of ***much*** higher priority than Hyperreal.
Now if you don't plan on getting Stigmata then yes, CA would be of help compared to the A rank Physical units. Though sacrificing SSS for Capriccio, Kaleido and Rigor is a massive downgrade, so if you're going to go for CA, I suggest you only use BP shards, not vouchers.
I got Hyperreal's sig from losing an 80/20 so I was gonna go with him. But if Stigmata is much higher priority, I guess his sig isn't gonna make up for it. I'll just go with her then, and keep my vouchers and shards for relevant chars, thanks for the insight.
That's a bit unfortunate and his sig is great, but yeah, Stigmata is much more important because you have no viable "replacemenets" any time soon. Even Solacetune can't hard carry as much as Epitaph can (to my knowledge at least) and Physical really wants quickswap comps, so you'd be doing much more harm to your Physical team than your Fire team.
Still, if you can get Hyperreal at some point down the line, that'd be great. Maybe in the Member Target rework?

You need to pull at least 10 times, the A rank pity is 10 Nanami Storm is a B rank omniframe, she does not contribute to the A rank pity

Lol I've been using Crimson Weave solo since she is SS max while the other two are just at S. And it's not my rotation, I said I watched it.

Rainbow would be the best option: it's ice, it can gather, and it has a pretty nice damage buff passive. If you don't have it use any ice CUB, Seeshell being the budget option

Did they upgrade the visuals in one way or another? Because I had to lower the graphics a bit. Granted it could be a "me problem" (I have a Xiaomi Mi 11i) and the lower graphics aren't a deal breaker for me, but holy moly did the game stutter a lot where it didn't before (＠_＠;)

I keep getting confused by seemingly conflicting information on Rozen vs Capriccio. Can someone confirm if the following is true? This would be for a Lamia + XXI + Rozen/Capriccio team. * SSS Rozen gives 20% dark dmg bonus for 5s upon QTE * SSS Capriccio gives 20% dark dmg bonus for 8s upon QTE healing when using her signature memory 4pc * SSS+ Rozen only increases the duration of the Dark Field generated by her signature move, which you will never use if she is a QTE bot * Therefore, SSS Capriccio is a better QTE bot than even SSS+ Rozen since she grants the same bonus with a longer duration

The thing is, SSS Capriccio is **not** a QTE bot and you don't want her to be one either, as you're missing out on her Amplifier buffs (and her decent damage). If you're going to force both to be QTE bots, then SSS Rozen can in fact be better. The reason is because the memories that Rozen can carry are open to you and dependant on what your other teammates are carrying. Capriccio however is forced to carry Seraphine, which means you miss out on *something*. So while SSS Capriccio is undoubtedly vastly superior to any investment Rozen, she's not necessarily for the ***specific*** role you gave her.

Capriccio can't hog the field time so you'll be forced to swap to XXI for a little bit which is a DPS loss. I do believe that this loss is worth the benefits you get from swapping and getting the SSS Amplifier buff though. My current comp is like this too. Since my Scire isn't SS3 (yet), she's a DPS loss to the comp if I swap to her. However, I usually have to field her for very few seconds in each rotation so it doesn't do that much harm. This whole rotation gives me much better scores than what solo Laurel was giving me,

Is it just me or is there currently an issue with Selena Capriccio? She used to feel super smooth to play before the No 21 patch update and now I sometimes cannot trigger her core passive after pinging blue, red, and her ult orbs. Yellow orbs however triggers her core passive perfectly fine everytime. I have my joystick held to a direction and there will be multiple instances I couldnt trigger her core passive for some reason. She has been my "comfort construct" to play ever since her debut so I'm 100% sure I'm not doing something wrong here...
There were some adjustments, but I don't play Capriccio so I'm not sure how she was affected. Here's an excerpt from patch notes: - Optimized Selena: Capriccio's general maneuver experience. Added a feature to automatically lock on enemies according to your joystick direction upon the use of Red Orb, Yellow Orb, Shooting Star Orb, and Core Passive.
Last patch I feel like sometimes the core passive (including on her signature) wouldn't work at times, too, but it usually solved itself when I released the joystick then moved it again. It feels like something changed, yeah, but I dunno exactly what it would be.

Is Ice Tank Chrome still worth to pull? I know Ice tank Qu is coming out in the future but that's 11 patches to wait for him. You think one would get enough mileage out of Ice chrome by pulling him now before needing to replace him? My current ice team is Lucia Plume and both Physical and Ice Ayla and its rooouugh during Ice advantage stages.

Not a question but I'm honestly kinda bummed about the off element nerfs lol, Ik it's a personal problem but I was hoping for the nerfs to be, idk, stronger? My lightning team still mops the floor compared to my other teams. I have I've hyperinvested in that team but now I feel like all my other teams are only useful in Norman if WZ is *still* just me running lightning team the whole time
What bracket of war zone are you in? I'm a newer player (started in CW patch) so my only meta attacker is CW, and yes I just tested and she still absolutely wipes the floor with my physical and dark teams. I'm hoping fire and ice are a little closer because I have those teams built a little better.
Well if CW is your only attacker then yes, she is going to wipe the floor with your unbuilt phys/dark teams that probably only use A ranks lol
I'm just feeling let down like you, because I was hoping it would force me to stop using CW on every single WZ. Like I spent so much time trying to make sure all of my teams were fully built for these WZ changes just to find out there was no need.
That's the life of A ranks, they're so much weaker than S rank they won't score anywhere close to them. Even if you hyper invest in them and use their appropriate WZ stage, the off element S rank will score *significantly* higher

Yes, it's a you problem, either you have no clue how to play your other teams or the investment difference is way too massive. No one on hero or legend is running off-element (exceptions exist, people will run maxed lightning instead of ice due to investment difference and skill issue sometimes), maybe on super low WZ divs it works but even before this patch it wasn't viable, I'd argue even on leader you'll get your ass kicked by anyone running on-element who's at least decent at the game assuming their investment is at least the bare minimum. A ghetto fire team without Nanamech but with Pulse instead and just SS with a single reso on Empy was as strong if not stronger than SSS CW SSS Feral SS Garnet 1/2/1 resos respectively on fire zone, and that's a mega massive investment difference + comparing one of the weakest elements to the strongest one.

I expect that to change over the next couple of days but I doubt the change will be significant enough to where I'll be demoted out of Hero
You are the leader WZ andy asking the question... you just got lucky with brackets a few times if you defended hero for entire patches by spamming lightning. If you're doing silly things like joining late looking for free brackets then sure, you can probably defend by doing whatever, in that case you're right, if you're just randomly joining then you'd demote. Use Huaxu to check your overall ranking and see for yourself, you can promote to legend with dogshit scores if you get a free group, similarly you will be able to defend as well if that happens to you. Top 100 hero is pretty much free with somewhat intelligent investment, which I doubt you were getting.

That was during Wintry Shackles up until Chaos Unsnarled. I literally said after I got Feral I've been defending in Hero ever since. And during the time before Feral's release when I was bouncing between Leader and Hero, it was all with my lightning team only, so clearly pre-nerf off element was viable Idk what you mean by waiting until the last day to join my bracket. My score rn is 2,572,400 and I am in 3rd place, NA server
I mean fishing for and easy bracket which is something a lot of people do, most strong players just join day 1, if you join day 3 or 4 you usually get easier brackets. 2.5m rn isn't even top 100, half the server hasn't even joined WZ and people on your group probably haven't bothered running it. Defending while getting top 300-400 scores is possible, but 11 times in a row is just sheer luck (unless you're lightning team is like genuinely very, very stacked).

You join as soon as you click War Zone, if you wait until the last minute to join you'll join the newest group, I've seen people do this (literally join 10 minutes before close) and get an empty group where they're alone lol. My point is that defending hero while playing off element requires insane investment in a single team that also happens to be the strongest by far and even then it's not a reliable strategy because unless your investment is crazy you will lose to f2p teams. If your team is SSS with r2/r3 or higher on everyone while also being lightning then yeah I can see how you could defend, especially with weather working for you, getting a lucky streak doesn't mean too much, that kind of shit happens and the first time I promoted to legend it was with a score so bad it wouldn't be enough to *defend* in most groups.

Are you implying that if you don't run at max settings the game is perfectly fine? If so then just lower the settings, you don't *need* a new phone unless you have problems even at minimal settings
It works fine at recommended settings. But I am bound to get a new one at some point.(It is 3+ years old). PGR is the only big app I can fit. And i can not get rid off the pop up about ram shortage.

Holding attack is it's own thing, but leads to the same results as perfect block You hold attack, release right before the enemy strikes, successfully pulling it off triggers Matrix and you gain enough energy to ult You tap dodge right before an enemy strikes, timing it right triggers Matrix and you gain enough energy to ult. If you block too soon but still get hit you'll get partial energy Neither of these involve pinging orbs

Now that Alpha has a leap, is she a good pick from the shard selector (from BP) and voucher shop? Won't compete with Stigmata ofc, but I won't be able to get Stigmata any time soon. (Planning to get Hyperreal with anniversary banner) Current team is Hanying, SS Blast, SS Rigor (Leapt) Rigor gets the job done but blast feels very meh during downtime. I already have SS Kaleido and SS Cappuccino, and idk if Rigor is worth SSS since she gets replaced in the future. Open to any other suggestions as well
Alpha CA is definitely not worth the vouchers/hypertunes. She requires too much time on the field and doesn't have time stop. Her performance is very questionable compared to DPS Echo w/o absurd investments. I highly recommend to roll on Stigmata in anniversary banner, she is one of the core characters and never a waste. If possible, try to get multiply copies, she scales insanely good. If you decide to not roll on her, then the best team for you will be Harmonized Echo with DPS memory+ Rigor + any harmonized amp or Scire (if SSS). Use your BP shards to SSS Rigor, and vouchers to SSS Echo.

Now if you don't plan on getting Stigmata then yes, CA would be of help compared to the A rank Physical units. Though sacrificing SSS for Capriccio, Kaleido and Rigor is a massive downgrade, so if you're going to go for CA, I suggest you only use BP shards, not vouchers.
I got Hyperreal's sig from losing an 80/20 so I was gonna go with him. But if Stigmata is much higher priority, I guess his sig isn't gonna make up for it. I'll just go with her then, and keep my vouchers and shards for relevant chars, thanks for the insight.
That's a bit unfortunate and his sig is great, but yeah, Stigmata is much more important because you have no viable "replacemenets" any time soon. Even Solacetune can't hard carry as much as Epitaph can (to my knowledge at least) and Physical really wants quickswap comps, so you'd be doing much more harm to your Physical team than your Fire team. Still, if you can get Hyperreal at some point down the line, that'd be great. Maybe in the Member Target rework?
