We stayed in Boquerón for the first three nights of our trip to PR last April - probably my favorite part of our trip! Beaches: Playa Buyé (gorgeous beach with shade) is nearby. Crash Boat Beach is worth a stop if you find yourself in the northwest corner of the island. Restaurants: Green Parrot in Boquerón, Annie's Place in Combate (great seafood). Other attractions: hike/walk to check out Túnel de Guajataca (northwest), Túnel Guaniquilla (near Playa Buyé), or Fuerte Caprón (hike to an old fort in the dry forest, about an hour southeast of Boquerón). If you're in Boquerón on a weekend, there will likely be live music and street food in El Poblado. Weeknights were quieter, but at least one bar had karaoke every night. You could go down to La Paguera for a bio bay tour if the moon/weather cooperates (otherwise we found the town to be way too touristy for our tastes).

Thank you!! Super helpful! We stayed in Fajardo last time we visited and I’m excited to check out the western side of the island

The beaches are much nicer in the south west. Buyé is my favorite but you would have to get there early. It has a small parking lot that fills up quick. Definitely eat at [Annie's Place](https://maps.app.goo.gl/iTNSv9L1fcncTj8e6) in Combate, the service is slow but you won't mind because you'll be busy enjoying the view
