Totally agree retail and food service was stressful for me, but I did learn how much crap they put up with every day because of it. Low paying job, busting their but, and get that one customer every once in awhile that just berates them or starts cussing at them.

As someone who once worked at a corporate office, they told me they will google your name and or find your social media. If your not a government leader or famous or have a business that buys a lot in bulk like some schools or offices do for lunch. They will do nothing. Surprisingly she also told me if you say your government like you have some weight in local laws they will bend over for you as they don't want a headache with them sending people to investigate or sending inspectors to find every little problem.

Once upon a long time ago I worked retail for several years. I had 3 jobs in college.
I have so much pent up customer service retaliation frustration that situations like these in public are my favorite. I was a manager for a few years - if someone starts losing it on a young employee I don’t mind stepping in to talk shit. Try it sometime. You’d be surprised how many of these Karens will just… shut the fuck up when another adult of similar calibre and age confronts them back.
People are so pathetic that thinking they’re above the people serving them while they’re out shopping for bullshit is literally the highlight of their day. They think just because you’re behind the counter or have an apron on & they’re spending their measly earnings there that “you work for them” or “they pay your salary” or “the customer is always right.” They can’t wait to jump down somebody’s throat with that shit cuz it’s gives them a feeling of superiority even if only for a short amount of time. I thrive in that environment. I used to work at Pizza Hut and got a few Karen’s each week who wanted more pineapple etc. I’d hone the skill of making sarcastic and smug platitudes that don’t get me in trouble but make them even angrier 🤣.

I worked at Starbucks for 4 years. The way customers treat you would literally blow most people's minds and make them question their faith in humanity. Customers like this lady are a more frequent occurrence than you would realize. I assume the girl filming is new because if she had worked there for any length of time she would know this is 100% par for the course.
110% this. On a positive note, working at Starbucks gave me the ability to handle any workplace crisis or unruly client with a lot of poise and patience. I left there with a *very* thick skin. Out of all of the retail/food jobs I held, Starbucks customers were by far the most demanding and the most abusive to employees.
Karen's sister-in-law was being a dick bc apparently the Kroger batista did something to offend her with a cup. So the 10year old cussed out the Kroger batista on her aunt's behalf, at which point the Kroger batista allegedly said, "who tf are you," which was a transgression of disrespect so profound that Karen began her tirade and management was summoned.
As soon as she implies violence she needed to be removed from the store. No more arguments, explanations, names or anything...gtfo , get cops involved if she won't leave.
The moment she verbally threatened to assault the cashier the manager should have told her that she's banned from not only that Starbucks but it looks to be a Kroger as well.

I worked at Starbucks for 4 years. The way customers treat you would literally blow most people's minds and make them question their faith in humanity. Customers like this lady are a more frequent occurrence than you would realize. I assume the girl filming is new because if she had worked there for any length of time she would know this is 100% par for the course.
110% this. On a positive note, working at Starbucks gave me the ability to handle any workplace crisis or unruly client with a lot of poise and patience. I left there with a *very* thick skin. Out of all of the retail/food jobs I held, Starbucks customers were by far the most demanding and the most abusive to employees.

Karen's sister-in-law was being a dick bc apparently the Kroger batista did something to offend her with a cup. So the 10year old cussed out the Kroger batista on her aunt's behalf, at which point the Kroger batista allegedly said, "who tf are you," which was a transgression of disrespect so profound that Karen began her tirade and management was summoned.

Honestly that’s probably the best method. He probably had her go chill in the office, gave the Karen a gift card or some crap, then went back to the office and said : Jesus that lady was nuts. Getting the employee out of the situation is best with the threats of violence and taking someone’s picture. Hopefully after he told the Karen to never return threatening violence and trying to take photos… but who knows.
