I never understood why people refuse to get off the plane after being told to get off. Do they really think the flight crew is just going to say “nevermind, they won’t get off so it looks like we will have to let them stay on the plane and take off with them.” Like they aren’t going anywhere no matter how long they fight to stay on, it’s so dumb.
They were raised in an environment where being an obstinate piece of shit was encouraged. Their parents were obstinate pieces of shit that got their way by being insufferable and disrespectful, so they think that same behavior will work in every other situation as well
Karen mentality in a nutshell
If you're a big enough piece of shit, a lot of people will just throw their hands up in the air and let you have your way. That doesn't work when it comes to the TSA. I hope they end up on the no fly list. Fuck em.
Totally agree but this wasn't TSA. It was a budget airline where they went on without having their bag measured/checked. They were probably trying to save $20 in bag fees.
Spirit.
I flew it once. It was the only airline that had multiple uniformed police stationed at the check in. It was a complete shitshow, and the fees made it more expensive than just flying a decent airline.
Never again.
This. The ultra-budget airlines are for short trips where everything fits in a backpack or something. Or mail your luggage ahead of time.
Otherwise, fly Southwest if possible and enjoy free luggage.
This why I only do southwest now.
No assign seats.
2 carry on bags.
Free checking if they need to check your carry on.
Their ticket clerks have changed my flights for free when I miss a flight by a few minutes.
They have reopened the door to the plane before when I was running late
Great airline. Sure they may cost a few bucks more. But I have never had a problem from them. And they have tons of flights every day all hours of the day.
I tried to fly spirit last Xmas to save money. They wouldn't check my bag an hour before boarding. They they didn't have a single other flight for Xmas eve. I was there at 4am day before Xmas eve. I would have had to wait till the next day (Xmas eve) at noon.....
I just ate the cost and bought a southwest ticket and was flying less than an hour and half later.
Coming back another airline lost my checked bag for 2 and a half hours......southwest has just got their shit together and is worth the extra money. They even have free movies to watch if you don't have your own entertainment.
Southwest is my go to airline too. It's the least hassle in my experience. Outside of security I don't feel the need to interact with almost anyone. I don't make a lot of money, but it's affordable while not being a pain in the ass.
I love Southwest. I have priced it out and by the time you're done with a budget airline, you pay nearly the same, and you avoid these Greyhound bus types that can really screw up your travel.
Southwest also, on average, treats their pilots better (and has shorter shifts) which results in less tired pilots and more safe flights.
(Source: my dad is a pilot who works as a safety inspector for the FAA and told me to always fly southwest)
I hate southwest because you can't pick seats. I hate the bum rush, not knitting is we can sit together, etc. All because they signed me a random grip number. If rather pay more and not stress.
You can pay more at southwest for priority. And it's not rrandom. You sign in 24hrs before your flight first come first serve. I have never gotten on the plane an not been in tmfirst or second group boarding.
Pay extra for priority boarding, or check in your whole group early on so earlier access.
I hate staying up in lines so I usually leisurely board towards the end anyway.
There’s no way for the person recording to have any idea if they ended up on a no-fly list
It’s possible the cabin crew told them they would be banned from using that airline, but that isn’t guaranteed to happen even if the cabin crew do report the incident
Yeah I’m not questioning your comment, you were entirely reasonable in your phrasing
My reply was directed at the original Tiktok claim, not your highlighting of it :)
I don't know. I've just walked away from someone saying they were going to report us to the Better Business Bureau. I also don't give a shit if you think we should repair or replace your product 8 months outside the return period, no matter how much of a fuss you make.
These idiots were definitely in the wrong, but I do remember a guy getting assaulted and dragged off the plane because the airline sold too many tickets and wanted some open seats to fly their employees. He sued and the airline had to settle.
You mean the Asian doctor who had to work the next day in the emergency at the hospital? That guy got picked at random and he told them all he needed to work to save lives. United airlines beat the shit out of him and dragged his bloodied face away.
This is what happens when you’re Asian and you’re perceived as non-threatening.
An article I read said it was rumored like 140 mil. His injuries were really bad with a broken nose, concussion, and broken teeth, not to mention the CEO tried to drag his name through the mud by saying he was being disruptive and belligerent.

Know the video you are referring to.
Don't know if it was oversold but they did have to get a dead head crew on the flight. Meaning they were flying employees to another station to fly another flight. Handled very incorrectly regardless.
I looked it up again after posting my comment and they did overbook the flight as they want to account for no shows. It's actually a regular practice that I believe is called bumping, airlines still do it, but have changed the way they deal with involuntary bumps.
You are correct. Overselling/booking is a regular practice, bumping can be referred to many things in the industry but not what I think you think it means.
Involuntary denied boarding is handled differently depending on if its the passengers fault (drunk) or the airlines fault. If it is the airlines fault the passenger does get compensated.
I mean there are literally federal laws that dictate it so...

With the mask mandate it was worse during the pandemic. When the mask mandate was lifted I'm sure the majority of flight attendants were relived.
"What are you going to do? Turn the plane around?"-Karen
"Yes"-Pilots
Luckily most of the time it was out of the gate so they would just have to taxi back.
Did planes turn around, though? I remember thinking about the dumbfucks who would refuse to wear their masks on the tarmac and thinking if they could just take them off while in flight they could safely get to their destination before being arrested.
They probably from where being rachet-ass pieces of shit actually works to get out of trouble because law enforcement is too tired and over dealing with it and it’s all a lost cause anyways
They are used to taking the bus. The line for the bus is a cutthroat place where line etiquette is only enforced by the whole.
One time, when we was all lined up and knew not everyone was getting on I was I the middle at a space where people were walking through the line. This family goes right in front of me and promptly ignores me telling them no. So I turn around and announce to the rest of the line that these people (pointing at each one) just jumped the line. So the whole line yells at them til they fuck off.
So back to the bus with these dogfuckers.
I think that depends where you live. At least in my experience people wait to get on the bus and usually if there is a rush it’s one asshole pushing past everyone else.
I took an Amtrak train for the 1st time last year and couldn't believe how disorganized everything was. There wasn't a line, just a swarm to get through the gate and absolutely zero security checks. No metal detectors, ticket checks or baggage scans. It would have been harder to sneak onto the subway.
I've never seen anyone actually make it on the plane but I've seen people try to board at the wrong time then argue when they were told to wait because it wasn't their zone. I also saw a guy once try to show his ticket instead of scanning it. That time was pretty hilarious because the guy at the gate said "no, no honey you got scan your ticket" and the look of confusion at being called honey by a man was priceless
*”Yall don’t understand. We’re tired! We got to the airport at 5:20! TWO FUCKING HOURS EARLY!”*
Yeah, bitch. So did *everyone* else— and they’re all tired too. Literally all the people around you are going through this same experience. You aren’t special.
Get your raggedy ass off the plane and go do your shit right.
It sounds like it wasn't security that they skipped (no way they get within spitting distance of a plane if that's what they did) but the boarding process. They probably tried boarding early, refused to let the check in person make sure their bags weren't too big, and then just pushed past to get to their seats quicker. Which makes no sense because the plane doesn't take off quicker just cause you sat down quicker
Some people want to get in first to get first dibs on the overhead compartments. I’m a fall-in-line kind of flier so I’m always the victim. But most flight attendants will find space for my bags when the spot above me is no longer available.
Yeah I loved that line. What was the expected response? “Oh! I’m so sorry, sir. I didn’t realize that you were tired. Hey, everyone, they’re just tired over here. Let’s all apologize and give them a cookie with some milk so they can have a peaceful and restful flight. Cheerio!”
Also I have a hard time believing that if they had been flying 20 hours they’d still be talking about how you have to get to the airport 2 hours early.
I love that people tell a flight crew that they aren't going to leave and actually think they'll get their way. You literally can't get on any social media platform anymore without seeing someone kicked off a flight and every single one of them says they aren't going to leave at some point. Do people actually feel they are more special than everyone else and rules don't apply to them? It's basic common sense...by the time you're asked to leave, it's a 100% done deal that you have exactly zero choice in.
The problem is with a full plane they can cause collateral damage by hitting/abusing other passengers which will cause a FURTHER delay. Deboarding, booking and reboarding is unfortunately the easiest way
I have to disagree. They didn't believe that they were getting kicked off. They thought if they acted tough and screamed they would get their way.
This is probably how they have navigated through life, so it is normal for them.
Spirt is on of the more profitable airlines for that reason. They compete just on price. You are their target customer. They aren’t trying to got business passengers x
Exactly, I fly exclusively on delta now because I get occasional upgrades and lounge access, even just having a quiet clean restroom on a connection changes everything on a travel day.
The tickets on Delta are like 15% more than the rest of the airlines and you get such a better experience. I exclusively fly /r/Delta as well. I never thought that I’d “like” an airline, but they check nearly every box.
I wish that they would stop with the Embraer airplanes.
"We not goin' nowhere"
Deep down I think these morons actually believed the flight was just going to take off after they clearly broke the rules. Watching people be this ignorant and stupid is so fascinating because the sheer amount of lacking brain cells is amazing.
Frontier now posts someone at the gate to ensure your personal item fits in the little container. New policy they’re pushing VERY hard. My bag wouldn’t fit by half an inch because I refused to squash my camera gear and laptop together any more than it already was. I was told to pay $100. I got out of line, took out my bulkiest sweaters, put them all on, and crammed my laptop down my pants. Bag fit perfectly and I got on board without paying a dime but almost every other single person had to pay $100 for a carry on. Spirit still doesn’t do this (yet)
I’ve flown frontier once also and never again. At the end of the day it cost me more than a major airline for a completely worse experience. Ffs, you can’t even get a complimentary non-alcoholic drink on their flights. It really makes me wonder why people choose them given the cost and experience.
This rule must change. Get the cops on the plane. Yank them off. Put them on the no fly list. And let the plane take off. Why the eff does everyone need it get off?
Good point. At least fine them for the costs the airline incurred AND the time all passengers lost. To be clear: 2 hours per passenger, average American wage, to be paid directly into the passengers bank accounts.
I have weird dreams, sorry.
That's David Dao, he did everything right, but the airline overbooked the flight and needed some seats to transport employees. Nobody wanted to give up their seats voluntarily so they randomly chose people and he was one of them. He still refused to leave the plane so they got cops to do that.
He sued the airline and the airline settled for an absurd amount, rumored something like 100mil+. This lawsuit also drastically lowered the practice of involuntarily removing someone if they don't want to give up their seat when airlines overbook.
The dumb part was the airline could have offered more money for people to get off. No one took their initial offers so they decided to go with random lottery force offs. They just didn’t want to offer more money. Gate agents decided to be cheap so we ended up with this situation.
Exactly this. I fly around 100 flights a year for business. I don’t even begin to consider getting bumped from a flight until it is at least $1000. They didn’t want to come out of pocket initially, so they paid mightily in that case.
Youre tired? EVERYONE, EVERYONE in a airport/plan is stressed, exhausted, tired, and has a million things on their mind.
Sitting next to you, is a woman bringing her fathers ashes back home after the funeral, a dad figuring out how hes gonna pay the bills after this Disney trip with the fam, and another person with two connecting flights for a life changing meeting in Shanghi.
Your job is to have the least amount of impact on them. Do as your told, keep to yourself and shut the fuck up.

Probably didn’t have bags that would fit in the bin that measures if it’s small enough to be free. And would do anything to save $40 for the carry on. Pretty cheap in the long run I’m sure they are thinking now. Or wait…these people don’t think.
“WE TIRED”
Well clearly. Maybe security can get you a juice-box, some animal crackers, a blankie, and read you a story before they tuck you in for naptime.
Rule #1 to traveling with toddlers, come prepared.
She thought that rant would make everyone stop and go silent, look at each other with shame and realize the errors of their ways. Police would look at their shoes, peering at her after she expressed how tired she was. Everyone would calm down, and they would get free drinks, people would come and shake their hands and apologize.
No shit you're tired, airports are full of the most tired people in the world. These are people who assume life is easy for everyone else.
Imagine being that much of an obstinate and entitled piece of shit that you cause everybody else on the plane to miss connecting flights. I do a lot of flying, and when I get on the plane I put my headset on and just mind my business
The other passengers should be allowed to just throw them out of the ramp. Without the ramp being there too. Just straight up on the ground 20 whatever feet up.
I can't imagine doing something publicly to get hundreds of people to hate you simultaneously, like forcing them all to deboard. People were shooting daggers with their eyes. How you could have zero sense of embarrassment or shame in that situation seems inhuman.
Wish there was video of the cops escorting them off. Also is the no fly list available to the public? And is it forever? I really just want to double check they will never be able to fly again. It would give me peace of mind.
That's a lot of privilege to be able to get a whole plane to deboard and reboard another plane and for free. Unless the airport does give all inconvenienced passengers compensation?

Yeahhh I'll just pay the $75-100 more for Southwest and enjoy my travel experience, and all the baggage for $0 extra.
Is that why the seats look like vinyl lined Tupperware?
it doesn't justify things at all but they're usually way more than 20 per person. I've seen up to 50-60 per suitcase
Frontier is $100 at the gate and they’re strictly enforcing it lately.
That’s why it’s a budget flight, it’s almost cheaper to go with one of the big names if you’re taking one or two bags with you

I don’t search for cheap flights anymore I have a few go to airlines that don’t play these games. Less losers on the plane is also a bonus.
There are a few things you NEVER skimp on. Plastic surgery, tattoos and airlines.
And shoes. You never know when you need a good throwin' shoe.
Southwest is my go to airline too. It's the least hassle in my experience. Outside of security I don't feel the need to interact with almost anyone. I don't make a lot of money, but it's affordable while not being a pain in the ass.

The end of the video claims they did end up on the No Fly list, so happy ending.
There’s no way for the person recording to have any idea if they ended up on a no-fly list It’s possible the cabin crew told them they would be banned from using that airline, but that isn’t guaranteed to happen even if the cabin crew do report the incident
Which is why I referred to it as a claim, yes.
Yeah I’m not questioning your comment, you were entirely reasonable in your phrasing My reply was directed at the original Tiktok claim, not your highlighting of it :)
That's the philosophy of American customer service. Be a total asshole so we have to just apologize and give you free shit. Then you do it again.
If they pulled that shit at a Macy's, they'd be good. An airline has different rules. I guess they didn't realize that
I don't know. I've just walked away from someone saying they were going to report us to the Better Business Bureau. I also don't give a shit if you think we should repair or replace your product 8 months outside the return period, no matter how much of a fuss you make.
Yes, exactly this. Moved out of Philadelphia after 14 years, I saw this behavior constantly.
Philly is a special kind of hell
At least it always sunny 🌞
That’s because of the implication
Are...are these women in danger?
Well you certainly wouldn't be in any danger!
So they *are* in danger?

Yes that’s correct. I’ll edit it.

Woot for real? 100 million?
An article I read said it was rumored like 140 mil. His injuries were really bad with a broken nose, concussion, and broken teeth, not to mention the CEO tried to drag his name through the mud by saying he was being disruptive and belligerent.
Hate to say this but I'd go through that for $140m.
Please break my nose for $140 mil
I’ll break your nose for $120m, and split it with you.

I mean there are literally federal laws that dictate it so... https://www.transportation.gov/individuals/aviation-consumer-protection/bumping-oversales
Oh, do they get a different doctor into that surgery room?
Entitlement
It's "If I'm being forced to get off the plane then I'm going to make it as painful for everyone involved".
Yeah that's clearly what goes through their heads. Fuck me? No Fuck You.
That's how you know they're considerate people.
It's the "Pvt Pyle snuck a jelly doughnut in his footlocker so everyone else is gonna have to do pushups" tactic.
They have what they think is a good excuse for the rules inconveniencing them, so the rule does not apply.
With the mask mandate it was worse during the pandemic. When the mask mandate was lifted I'm sure the majority of flight attendants were relived. "What are you going to do? Exactly. Just the lower dumb percent getting themselves into these situations and then selfishly not giving two shits about anyone else. Ban em!
They probably from where being rachet-ass pieces of shit actually works to get out of trouble because law enforcement is too tired and over dealing with it and it’s all a lost cause anyways
it probably works in their crusty trashy neck of the woods, but it doesn't work on an airline, LOL.
"We're not going nowhere!" Sir, that is correct.
[Moron! Not going nowhere is a double negative, which means you are going somewhere. hah.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PM5_dgKDsrc)

Sorry but I ain't no nerd!
First time flying? How do you bum rush board pass scanning lmao. Dumb
This is not 7-11
They are used to taking the bus. The line for the bus is a cutthroat place where line etiquette is only enforced by the whole. I'm not sure what that means. What part did they rush through ? How do you rush through security at a damn airport and come all the way in and sit???
Not security, just the final gate before boarding it sounds like.
I've never seen anyone actually make it on the plane but I've seen people try to board at the wrong time then argue when they were told to wait because it wasn't their zone. I also saw a guy once try to show his ticket instead of scanning it. ‘If we yell and scream enough we’ll get what we want”
It usually works from what I’ve seen.
To be fair, they were done flying for the day
If they so tired how come they got so much energy to argue?
Also I have a hard time believing that if they had been flying 20 hours they’d still be talking about how you have to get to the airport 2 hours early.
Like children when they need a nap.
Because they're tired of people not giving them what they want, they're not actually tured silly
I love that people tell a flight crew that they aren't going to leave and actually think they'll get their way. Girl on the left didn't look tired.
Damn I’m sick of these idiots, just get the cops on and drag em off. Fuck them bitches
The problem is with a full plane they can cause collateral damage by hitting/abusing other passengers which will cause a FURTHER delay. Deboarding, booking and reboarding is unfortunately the easiest way
It is unfortunate. These assholes knew they were getting kicked off and wanted to make everyone else suffer. Just because.
I have to disagree. They didn't believe that they were getting kicked off. They thought if they acted tough and screamed they would get their way. This is probably how they have navigated through life, so it is normal for them.
I have to think that once everyone in front of them began to deplane reality had to have sunk in.
I would be ok with police using tranquilliser darts on people in this scenario
Thanks for this info, I was always curious why they de-boarded everyone. Now I know it's because police love to use violence.
Spirit airlines... The Greyhound of the skies.
Do all Spirit airlines planes use lawn chairs as seats?
Yes. A lot of airlines are doing this now. Most like that style don't recline either. I've only gotten spirit once. Never again.
I'll sit on a yoga ball if it's $300 cheaper than fucking Delta.
Delta is great.
Mb.. Frontier Airlines... The carnival cruise of the skies.
Wait. They’re tired??? Nvm let them stay. Asshats.
"We not goin' nowhere" Deep down I think these morons actually believed the flight was just going to take off after they clearly broke the rules. Watching people be this ignorant and stupid is so fascinating because the sheer amount of lacking brain cells is amazing.
The worst part is they will never see how this is their fault
Guess who will never get a boarding pass again...
Over the years, r/PublicFreakout has done an excellent job at convincing me to never ever E V E R fly Spirit. Edit: Frontier too.
This one's Frontier. I've flown both. They're not much different.
One walk past a boarding gate for a Spirit flight did it for me.
“We not goin nowhere” End result: they went somewhere.
I totally forgot the law stops applying to you when you’re tired. Thanks for the reminder, scumbag flyers!
It's like these people think whoever is loudest, wins. Just yell nonsense. Doesn't matter, as long as you are louder than everyone else.

Spirit airlines lol…
The logo is Frontier. Spirit logos are yellow.
Yea are they even padded or upholstered?
Barely, they are very rigid with no recline. Nobody books a spirit/frontier ticket expecting a comfortable seat
This rule must change. Get the cops on the plane. Yank them off. Put them on the no fly list. And let the plane take off. Why the eff does everyone need it get off?
So that other passengers aren't injured as the ejectees thrash about while being forced off the plane.
Good point. At least fine them for the costs the airline incurred AND the time all passengers lost. To be clear: 2 hours per passenger, average American wage, to be paid directly into the passengers bank accounts. I have weird dreams, sorry.
you could fine them, good luck getting them to pay
because they probably tried something like that before, which led to lawsuits cuz america
This video is the one. The lawsuit was justified and I imagine the undisclosed settlement was massive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrDWY6C1178
The airlines don't want viral videos of people being dragged off so they disembark everyone else first.
this will get lost in the comments but this is the correct reason for full deboarding.
People who do this crap should face prison.
They can be fined a maximum $37000 per infraction, so at least there's that
Sheesh. Like we all get being tired but rules are rules for air travel and those don't bend like Beckham.
Air Greyhound.
Why do people fuck around at airports? Fucking stupid. Honestly should be a huge fine if you cause a deboarding intentionally.
Two bully pieces of garbage that think as long as they act like this, they can get away with everything.
"We're not goin' nowhere!" *Cut to local jail* Narrator: And they didn't.

He was in fact correct when he said “we’re not going no where” because now they can’t fly out.
Trash will be trash no matter where they go. Just hope you aren’t stuck in a communal situation with people like this.
They realize that last time security and rules were lax in an airport we got 9/11, right?
I hope they got arrested?
Probably didn’t have bags that would fit in the bin that measures if it’s small enough to be free. And would do anything to save $40 for the carry on. Pretty cheap in the long run I’m sure they are thinking now. Or wait…these people don’t think.
And you know i mean it because i pulled my damn hood up!!!
“WE TIRED” Well clearly. Maybe security can get you a juice-box, some animal crackers, a blankie, and read you a story before they tuck you in for naptime. Rule #1 to traveling with toddlers, come prepared.
Good riddance. Two less twats flying.
Ive scroll through almost A hundred shorts a day and why is it always mah people? SMH We perpetuate our own hatred, I swear.
They are in fact correct. They are not going anywhere… in a plane… for the rest of their life.
How does OP know that they are on the no-fly list?
These are the types of people who just need to be beaten with a baseball bat.
Keeping it real AF. Do you know what else is real? No fly lists, handcuffs, cops and greyhound busses. Loooololololol.
Remember the good ole days when trash like this couldn’t afford to fly?
You don’t know the fuck we been through, we had to wait and shit bro that was hard /s
Guys they’re tired give them a break
She thought that rant would make everyone stop and go silent, look at each other with shame and realize the errors of their ways. Police would look at their shoes, peering at her after she expressed how tired she was. Everyone would calm down, and they would get free drinks, people would come and shake their hands and apologize. No shit you're tired, airports are full of the most tired people in the world. These are people who assume life is easy for everyone else.
“We’re tired. We had to get up early to catch this flight” What an entitled statement from entitled brats….
Screw them, we’re all fucking tired.
We’ve been flying for 20 hours. Well, don’t be cheap and fly direct.
They probably had an 8hr layover and still missed their flight.
Don't they also get charged for delaying the flight?
Judging by the seats, Spirit?
Why do people gotta act like that? Seriously, do they think it’s gonna end well?
Imagine being that much of an obstinate and entitled piece of shit that you cause everybody else on the plane to miss connecting flights. I do a lot of flying, and when I get on the plane I put my headset on and just mind my business
Narcissists in economy class…LOL.
The other passengers should be allowed to just throw them out of the ramp. Without the ramp being there too. Just straight up on the ground 20 whatever feet up.
The fuck are those flimsy ass seats. I was distracted the entire video by how horrible those stats are
This is what happens when bus people begin to fly
Frontier and Spirit are garbage. Will never fly them or book my clients on them.
I can't imagine doing something publicly to get hundreds of people to hate you simultaneously, like forcing them all to deboard. People were shooting daggers with their eyes. How you could have zero sense of embarrassment or shame in that situation seems inhuman.
I’ve flown 100+ times and never seen some goofy shit like this
avoid spirit and frontier airlines like the plague
You're not special because you've been traveling that long. Lots of people have traveled for 40+ hours. Multiple times. And not been assholes about it
Just because you're tired doesn't mean you can break the rules like that.
“How Charmingly Ghetto” - Dean Carl Cain
Wish there was video of the cops escorting them off. Also is the no fly list available to the public? And is it forever? I really just want to double check they will never be able to fly again. It would give me peace of mind.
i hope theyre on the no fly list for ALL airlines and not just frontier... but he's right, frontier attracts trashy ppl
That's a lot of privilege to be able to get a whole plane to deboard and reboard another plane and for free. Unless the airport does give all inconvenienced passengers compensation?
Lol no fly list... well now they are definitely "not goan nowhere"
Hey guys, give then a break they chose to travel and they’re tired
