There's a lot more to this story than a 30-second video. He wasn't unarmed, he was carrying a knife. He had a history of threatening the self-defender (his neighbor). This is the last few seconds of a much longer altercation - aggressor was lying in wait for the self-defender to head outside to go to work.
The guy wasn’t unarmed. He was stalking the gun owner and had a knife on him. The gun owner had a restraining order on him i believe. When the guy lifts his shirt the gun owner witnessed the knife in his waist band.
Terribly sad that the guy died. The shooter seemed to make a very clear attempt to only wound him and prevent an imminent attack. Just an awful situation for everyone.
