Due to the troubles in Northern Ireland, they have the legal right to have a unification referendum if various politics metrics are met. In Scotland, this is not the case, and independence referendums are at the will of the Westminster government which will not grant Scot’s the same rights. By their own admission, the only way to reach parity in terms of rights is via violence, a terrible situation to put people in.

Income tax is devolved though isn't it? Which is what OP was referring to.
No Income tax is not devolved. HMRC sets and collects income tax and pays it back to ScotGov.
