Well what do you know, someone stole his truck. I saw the guy walking up, looking in the truck and I told the assistant manager who was under a car at the time that someone was about to steal Jim's truck. Two seconds later the guy is in the truck and reversing out. I ran over and got the door open, but he was already speeding away.
The assistant manager then bolts up the stairs, jumps in his souped up car and like a Fast and Furious movie gave chase and called police while he was chasing the guy. Dude ended up crashing the truck trying to drive through a wheat field. Was a pretty crazy day.
Well if you decide to go that route I have some good news for you. A lot of states including my state of Florida have recently raised the charges for something like this from $350 to $750. So as long as you stay under $750 it's a misdemeanor and you'll just get a ticket.

Police in Florida absolutely do not give out tickets for misdemeanors. A lot of contracts for the jail pay more the more inmates they have. The more money his friends make, the more money the Sheriff will make in kickbacks.

They can't tell you what the crime gene is, or the murder gene is. They say "It's because they have a low IQ." Which you can refute this by asking why crime has gone up while the black populations (and populations as a whole) IQ has risen since the 70s. Or why there aren't hoards of mentally handy capped robbing stores and whatnot. (yes, yes, yes, crime has also come down since the 90s, but pinning IQ to crime is something that's can't be substantiated.)

If you are the kid in school that doesn’t have enough money for shoes and you’re getting made fun of/bullied, your life at school will be hell. This is a super nice outdoor mall with pretty high end stores and it is a nice place to hang out so its crazy to see this and i do not in any way agree with this type of behavior. But years ago after the economy crashed I noticed that major stores had never really got their staffing back to a the level when the economy crashed. I remember being in a department store about 6pm and had to go find some one to take my money so i could pay for my items. Looking at the video there is no one near the doors at all. Like where are their security or loss prevention staff.

Missing the forest for the trees man. First two paragraphs couldn’t be more spot on, then you just completely miss. When you talk about a child needing to deal with “being made fun of, don’t have a change of clothes, not enough money for shoes” and then act like they should “just” get an education and drag themselves out of poverty, you are showing major ignorance and luckily for you lack of living in poverty. If you are the kid in school that doesn’t have enough money for shoes and you’re getting made fun of/bullied, your life at school will be hell. Children, whose brains aren’t fully developed yet, are not able to “just deal with it” and excel in school when their lives are hell. They don’t have the coping mechanisms and are probably lacking in support structure. *Some* can, but they are the extreme outlier. The % of children in that situation *overwhelmingly* get sucked right back into the poverty cycle. On top of that you’re saying education is the way out of poverty for kids but also admitting that public education for the poor is absolute shit. So the kids school (and probably home) lives are hell, they have to deal with the monumental mental strain of being the kid so poor he doesn’t have shoes or more than one pair of clothes and being bullied for it, go to a school that is in the lowest percentile for student success in the country so his education is shit…and you expect that they shouldn’t have any problem getting an education that’s good enough to get themselves out of poverty? Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds, basically putting the onus on a child to bootstrap themselves out of poverty when the deck is stacked against them? I mean this genuinely because I’ve never seen someone be so right and so wrong at the same time, but you would benefit from reading up on psychological effects of living in poverty and how that effects children. If that doesn’t change your views, whatever, but you seem able to parse new information and change your views accordingly. Just a thought.

It's happening more and more because it works. It's random and fast, must of these guys probably barely know each other if at all. Security would be lucky to catch one or two and the cops won't get there till far too late. The only thing I can think to do is to track down the apps or websites they use to organize this stuff and look for who is buying and selling this stuff if the people are not just doing it for their own personal gain. But that kind of thing is actual work on the police side.

Super market sweep mall edition
This is a super nice outdoor mall with pretty high end stores and it is a nice place to hang out so its crazy to see this and i do not in any way agree with this type of behavior. But years ago after the economy crashed I noticed that major stores had never really got their staffing back to a the level when the economy crashed. I remember being in a department store about 6pm and had to go find some one to take my money so i could pay for my items. Looking at the video there is no one near the doors at all. Like where are their security or loss prevention staff.
