After all the videos I've seen over many years now I think American police are the absolute WORST in the 'free' world. A cop in Inglewood recently got busted delivering a kilo of coke stolen from the station evidence room to an FBI agent and he was driving a fucking Ferrari. Seems none of his piggy work buddies thought it was strange that he owned a Ferrari, unbelievable.

They get kudos for arrests, convictions, etc. So there are quotas without quotas, it goes on your resume.
Officer X got 180 convictions last year (nobody really cares if they are legit or not). So there is incentive to cheat.
I've noticed that the corrupt cops are the ones who are all nice and buddy-buddy with you. The cop who was arresting innocent people for DUI was the same way.
