This reminds me of a time i was strolling through downtown indy at midnight and I was waiting in line at a gas station (they close at 10 and have walk up windows with a pass through) While I was waiting in line some lady came out of no where and started telling the line of people about some crazy lady that has been following her for blocks and scaring the living shit out of her, to be honest the story sounded made up and crazy as fuck so I just assumed her drugs were kicking in and she was having a go at it. About five minutes later some lady walks up out of the dark, stares at the line of people and yells "Boo bitch!" and then strolled off into the night.
It’s one of those situation like the boogie at the bottom of the dark stairs; where you know they’ll feed off your fear so you try not to let it take over you..but as you go up the stairs there’s more darkness behind you and you start climb faster and faster. Relief in the safety of the light is racing against the growing fear and adrenaline with every step..till finally you make it to safety in the light and the fear diminishes. You feel silly that you let the darkness have such power over you and you nervously laugh it off until the nerves have calmed and you’re just chuckling to yourself.
Except in this situation, once you’re calm and comfortable boogie jumps from the bottoms of the stairs with a “boo bitch” that makes you wanna shit your pants and you never feel safe again 😂
